Because this is listed as a five-star and I don't believe that it's up to five star level of some of my other five star experiences I feel like the best I could do is four stars
This is a year old hotel which is very nice and beautiful but definitely had major flaws but overall was a nice stay. The rooms assigned on the 5th floor were very large with a nice comfortable bed. The bathroom was oversized with a gigantic tub that was great for taking baths and there is a separate standing shower. Amenities included body lotion hand soap body gel shampoo and conditioner. Also included typical bathroom amenities like toothbrush comb razor q-tips and others.
Robe was provided, there were no slippers, there is a room safe. You could control the AC. There was an oversized patio. There was a couch and sitting area. The TV was large enough for the room and the bed was comfortable.
I did partake in the spa and I had a pleasant hot stone massage with Tina. Hotel reception was okay There was a gentleman I worked with that was very nice who worked late at night and couldn't have been more pleasant to deal with and a few times I interacted with the female staff in the morning was good as well. Overall I think the staff did a great job. The food was wonderful. I had lunch and dinner there as well. Drinks are a little on the small side and weak for the price.
The only major flaws I found was that the water pressure was consistent the temperature however would adjust randomly which could make you jump. I typically had it at the highest setting and would occasionally get very cool temperature.
Another issue was there's no additional door lock. We couldn't find a chain or an additional locking mechanism and all you had was a regular door with a regular handle. It was very off-putting and it set me a bit on edge.
Upon entering the 7th floor the hallway it had a very odd smell. Upon arriving to room 705 the smell is exaggerated. Come to find out right above the bed, not in the bathroom, there was a 35 cm (foot) long strip of black mold that was about 20 cm (7 inches) high of severe water damage with definite black mold growing. This isn't something that happened overnight it's obvious that it's happened over time and the smell is so significant I can't believe they were even renting this room. It is dangerous and negligent to do so.
Cleanliness was pretty much there however the showers themselves could use a serious deep cleaning before it gets out of hand. Because it's a new hotel it's not too bad but it could definitely get out of hand if not treated early.
And lastly, the hotel hosts multiple extremely large size tour groups at the same time. Breakfast was nothing short of a hot mess!! During our stay we had people drinking coffee and tea out of cereal bowls because they allowed so many tour groups to ascend in the breakfast area at one time in the staff simply could not keep up with the amount or provide proper clean cups. There was one particular tour group that was two bus sizes. Not only did the food run out but people were standing around waiting for seats to become available because everybody seemed to be eating at the exact same moment. It was literally nothing short of a Hunger Games!!
You had to feel bad for the staff as they literally were trying everything they could to replenish the food and finding seating but the size of all the tour groups coming at one time - it was impossible so again we had a drink out of cereal bowls instead of cups!
The hotel needs to do a better job of coordinating the tour groups and staggering when they can eat. Everybody ascended around 6:30-7am and there was one tour group specifically that seemed to take large amounts of food. The hotel should do a better job of organizing and/or staggering group eating times and assigning seating areas or except less tour groups at one time if they can't manage it.
Because of the breakfast situation, security and mold I don't feel comfortable giving this five stars. If those things could be addressed I...
Read moreWow. How much i wanted to write this review. Look i would give 5 stars because we extended our stay. And the place is beautiful but i am lowering the review to get attention of management or owners. one thing that is quiet big really bothered me. We moved to this hotel from grand sunrise in hoi an , where the service and friendliness of staff is just over the top amazing. The workers were allways smiling and welcoming. When we arrived to little oasis. Allthough beautiful... We felt sad faces of the staff ..everyone were cold, not smily , gave us an attitude face when we asked for anything basic . And the feeling of the service was much colder then the previous hoi an hotel .that was felt across our entire party of 3... As days went by it became more evident..and i told my partner and my mom that it must be bad management. As the staff in the other hotel and little oasis are all from hoi an.. so why in one hotel they are super nice and the other hotel so cold and stressed?! A few days later i asked one of the guys working there if he like working there...he replayed that it is close to his home but the boss is very hard and no one like the boss. The management makes them stressed. And that was so evident!!!. So i want to tell Management of little oasis , when you are hard on your staff you are achiving the opposite of what you are trying to get. We feel that they are stressed and upset because of your hard management and criticizm and we enjoy less, the workers are not free to be light and smiling as they should. And can. And i can say the three of us felt it about all the workers without exception! and a general vibe. Only when got close and had a private conversation could see the personal light shine through. I would suggest the owner to change management or management to change tactic. Be nice! To your workers .let them keep their happiness and light and satisfaction at work . Make your workes feel happy and content and the guest will feel their calm, happiness and satisfaction.. and will enjoy a good service as well. Then it...
Read moreThis was my second stay at Little Oasis Hoi An, and once again, it exceeded all expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the exceptional warmth and friendliness of the staff. Every single team member went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed and cared for, it truly felt like a home away from home.
A special shout-out to Ezra, Elena, Rose, and Lisa! Thank you for going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Your kindness, warm smiles and hospitality made all the difference!
The rooms were absolutely pristine! Spacious, stylishly designed, and meticulously maintained. The attention to detail was so impressive, and I especially loved the thoughtful touch of the nightly turndown service. And the bathtub? It’s hands down the best I’ve ever experienced! Huge, luxurious, and the perfect way to unwind every night.
The rooftop pool was an absolute dream! With cozy sun beds and breathtaking views of Hoi An, it was the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. We spent countless hours enjoying the serene atmosphere up there.
The breakfast buffet—wow! It was phenomenal, offering an incredible variety of dishes to suit every palate. I particularly enjoyed the daily selection of Vietnamese soups like Pho and Cau Lau. The terrace view overlooking the herb garden, paddy field, and grazing buffaloes made the experience even more magical. It was the perfect start to every day.
If you visit, I highly recommend booking a session at the hotel spa. The staff are exceptionally skilled, and you must ask for Amy! I’ve had four massages with her so far, and each one has been nothing short of amazing. She’s truly gifted!
