I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hostel in Hoi An, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, Lan and Martin made me feel right at home with their warm hospitality and genuine care for their guests. The hostel itself had a cozy atmosphere that instantly put me at ease, and I found it incredibly easy to strike up conversations and make friends with fellow travelers.

The location was ideal, being just a stone's throw away from the beach and a scenic 20-minute bike ride through the rice fields from the bustling old town of Hoi An. This meant I could easily explore the city's rich history and vibrant culture while still enjoying the laid-back vibe of beach life.

But what truly made my stay unforgettable were Lan, Martin, and the other guests I met there. Our hosts went above and beyond to ensure that everyone felt welcome and comfortable, whether it was recommending the best local eateries or organizing fun activities for us to enjoy together. Their genuine passion for hosting and creating memorable experiences for their guests was evident in every interaction.

Overall, I can't recommend this hostel enough for anyone looking for a home away from home in Hoi An. With great hosts, a friendly atmosphere, and a fantastic location, it's the perfect place to create lasting memories and...

We ended up here after cancelling a stay at another hostel early, and it was honestly the best thing that happened on our trip. We seriously loved our two nights at nalani’s. It was super chill, unfussy and really friendly. The walls are covered in notes and artwork from previous guests sharing how much they loved their stay, which I think says it all. The staff were all lovely, and went above and beyond and we met some really nice people who were staying. Breakfast is free & free Tea/coffee (we had a very nice tofu banh mi and choc banana pancakes, and robusta coffee with condensed milk) which means that everyone comes down to the kitchen and sits together. It’s really social and wholesome. You’re welcome to have your own food, and they also have snacks and drinks to buy at a reasonable price. We organised to do a sunrise SUP with them which was beautiful (see pics).

We stayed in the 4 bed female dorm which was super clean, with an en-suite bathroom with shower and free shower gel. The AC was really good. Lockers with keys for valuables, laundry service and bikes for hire.

We spent ages chilling by the pool, and the beach is 4mins away. A short grab into town.

Tldr: Chilled vibes, authentic and the best...

My days in Nalani Homestay undoubtedly left a special mark on my heart. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warm hospitality that made me feel right at home. Lan you are lovely =)

Location: The guesthouse is strategically located near the beach, which made my days much easier and more enjoyable. Within minutes, I could have my feet in the sand, enjoying the sea and the sun.

Facilities: They offer motorbike rentals at a fair price, which was a fantastic option for exploring the region independently. Additionally, Lan at the guesthouse was amazing at providing tips on places to visit, activities to try, and must-see tours.

Atmosphere: The moments I spent talking with the staff and other guests were some of the highlights of my trip. I felt that every interaction was an opportunity to learn more about the local culture and share life experiences. The conversations were always filled with laughter and interesting stories.

Conclusion: I miss this place and the people I met so much. If you're looking for a welcoming place, close to the beach, and with incredible people, this guesthouse is the right place for you. I can’t wait to return and relive these...

I stayed at Nalani Hostel for 5 nights during my backpacking trip through Vietnam, and it was easily one of the best hostels I’ve experienced. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by cozy coffee places and great restaurants. From the moment you arrive, Lan (the owner) makes you feel right at home with her warm welcome. The room was spacious and had its own bathroom. Both the room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, just like the rest of the hostel. The beds were comfortable and offered a bit of privacy, which was perfect for relaxing after long days exploring. There’s also fast Wi-Fi, and you can grab snacks and drinks on an honor system, such a nice touch. Every morning there are multiple breakfast options, all of which were delicious. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with anything, whether it was arranging trips to Monkey Mountain in Da Nang or booking a shuttle bus to Hue. I’d give Nalani a full 5 stars and I’m already planning to come back in a few weeks for a second stay. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Hoi An!

Where do I even start? Nalani Hostel is not just a place to stay, it truly feels like home from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere, the people, and the location make this hostel something special and unique. Lan, the owner, is incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready with a smile. The entire place is spotless, cleaned to perfection every day, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. The location is perfect too, just a 4-minute walk to the beach, and the hostel also has a beautiful common pool where it’s so easy to relax and meet other travelers. Everything here is a solid 10/10. I’ve stayed at Nalani twice, the first time in a private room, and the second time I came back to stay in the dorms. Both experiences were amazing in their own way. If I ever return to Hoi An, there’s no doubt I’ll be coming back here again ❤️
