The Fisherman Garden Vegan Restaurant & Cafe — Restaurant in Hội An

Absolutely lovely experience here. We came up from the beach to grab a cold drink and some food. We sat down, outside, at the front of the restaurant, with a ocean view. It was perfect. After looking at the menu for a bir, my husband realised it was a vegan restaurant. We ordered some drinks to start, then had some food a little while later. A lovely local came to our table, (holding a rather large and heavy collection of bracelets) and kindly sparked up conversation. After sharing our holiday experience with her and our country of origin, she politely asked if I'd like to look at the bracelets she was selling. I responded with a grateful, yes please. She seemed like a very genuine and sincere seller, I was happy to make a purchase. After this, we ordered food. Very satisfied We had some, zoodles, a burrito, chips and sweet potato chips. This restaurant is perfectly located. The kids were able to rinse off in the shower at the back of the restaurant. Bathrooms were close by. Friendly staff, good service. The food is okay, but a bit on the expensive side for the quality of it (regarding the fresh summer rolls). The staff is nice and fast as the wind.

The thing is, that you're constantly bothered by beach merchants trying to sell you things. We were looking for peace, but this is not the place for it. This beach is packed with merchants even waking you up to sell you stuff.

Maybe you can be more strict with your policies regarding how much your guests can be bothered by merchants. I think that is a necessity for your restaurants (future) succes. That's why I give 4 stars, I strongly recommend being more strict, cause we could not rest knowing we'd be bothered again and again every 5 minutes!!! We would have otherwise stayed for another meal and drinks, you'd have sold us twice or triple as much. We understand these people need to make a living, but it's too intrusive and too omnipresent. The Fisherman is in a nice location right on the beach, with tables facing the sea. Their whole menu is vegetarian, but quite pricey with no meals under 80k. We ordered the vegan Cheese and Tomato pizza, which did not disappoint - the vegan cheese was delicious and the closest to 'normal' cheese I've ever eaten. So the pizzas were definitely worth it!

However, I have deducted a few stars as the place was a bit grimy and seemed uncared for - the menus were also extremely dirty to the point that we didn't want to touch them. I would recommend this restaurant improve their atmosphere to be cleaner and replace their menus. Also to be noted that there are many mosquitos at night so please bring your bug spray if going to...
