Palm View Villa — Hotel in Hội An

We stayed at this location for three nights after discovering it on Airbnb through a random search. The owner was incredibly accommodating, offering us numerous suggestions to enhance our visit. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary airport pickup courtesy of the Villa.

For those in search of privacy and a respite from urban noise, this Villa provides an ideal sanctuary while still being conveniently located. It's a mere 10-minute motorbike ride to the heart of Hoi An old town, ensuring that guests can experience the city's vibrancy and return to absolute peace.

Guests are treated to complimentary laundry services, and there's free coffee and juice available throughout the day. While we rented a motorbike from the Villa, they also offer bicycles at no additional charge.

The staff, especially Kim, were commendable. They went above and beyond to meet our needs, answering all our queries and providing insightful recommendations on how best to enjoy Hoi An.

A standout feature is the pool, which is a must-try. When compared to other options, this Villa clearly stands out. If possible, I would recommend booking a room with a larger pool – it's definitely worth the extra expense.

Meticulous attention is given to cleanliness. The pool is cleaned daily, ensuring that any fallen leaves are removed and the floor is pristine. Moreover, the room service is punctual and impeccable.

A few things to note: In the summer, it's common to encounter mosquitos and ants, especially in areas close to water bodies. This is typical in Vietnam. It would be wise to pack some mosquito repellent. We noticed that the hot water supply fluctuated between temperatures. While it wasn't a major inconvenience, consistent hot water would be appreciated. There was a brief issue with the air-conditioner, but the staff resolved it within minutes.

In summary, while there are minor areas Palm View could refine, from a perspective of quality, value, and service, it's an outstanding choice. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

Tips for First-Time Guests: If it's your first visit, look for the red front gate—there’s a grey side gate that leads in. After passing a few rooms, you’ll find the reception. Alternatively, if you’re entering from the back gate (with the signage), walk straight to the end, turn left, and continue walking until you reach reception.

Personal Experience: This was a fantastic travel experience. We were a bit lost upon arrival since we weren’t sure how to reach reception, but a staff member responded promptly and came to guide us. From there, it was one pleasant surprise after another: the owner upgraded our room free of charge, and on the day of checkout, they generously extended our stay by an extra hour so we could check in at the next hotel seamlessly.

Afternoon tea was delicious—banana pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee (black, milk, and coconut), yogurt—everything was full of flavor. The pool was large enough for us to enjoy a solid two hours daily, and the bathtub was spacious too. There are restaurants nearby, but be aware they close early (around 7:00 PM), so plan ahead. We even enjoyed in-room massages one evening and spent an entire day just relaxing without ever leaving the hotel.

Using Grab or taxis, you can reach the town in no time, making it very convenient. Staying here was the perfect choice as it offered the right balance of tranquility without being too far from the town.

Transportation: Taxis and Grab cars are available and cost just a few dollars to get to town. Motorbikes are available for rent, and bicycles are provided for free, making it very convenient to explore the area.

Pool: The pool is beautiful and well-maintained. After a jog or workout, it’s perfect to cool off and relax in the private pool without any disturbances.

Rooms: The rooms are impeccably clean and well-designed with a lot of thoughtful touches. The views from the villa are stunning and add to the overall charm.

Staff: Both Bao and Kim, along with the other staff, have been incredibly attentive and helpful. Their daily check-ins, assistance with tour arrangements, massage bookings, and dining recommendations have been invaluable.
