My three girlfriends and I made a lunch reservation for 2:30 PM last Saturday on Instagram; they were very responsive, so it was perfect, and we were excited to dine! The restaurant had very nice décor and was aesthetically pleasing, set against a beautiful paddy field. It was empty when we arrived, as the lunch crowd had cleared out, so we thought the food would come quickly, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The dishes took 35 minutes to be served, and they all arrived at the same time. I particularly loved the torch snapper salad and fried okra.

I want to report an incident. We ordered a couple of cocktails and wines as part of our dining experience. A fat, juicy housefly landed in my friend’s fresh glass of wine, meaning not a sip was taken.

Although this was no one’s fault, we kindly asked the restaurant manager to replace our glass of wine with a new one, which he did. While he did, he kept apologizing, saying “Sorry for the fly, but it wasn’t our intention, we will only charge you for half of your wine.”

As someone in the hospitality industry myself, I found it unacceptable. There was also no service recovery afterward. Unfortunately, we didn’t leave TOK smiling.

We went to 3 concept restaurants, consuming approximately the same number of dishes and drinks Dinner at Moring Glory signature: $2.02mil Dinner at Mango rooms: $2.76mil Lunch at TOK: $3.29mil

Feedback: If you are going to charge premium prices, please retrain your front-of-house team on proper service...

Nestled amidst the serene rice fields of Hoi An, this restaurant offers a unique blend of European dishes crafted with locally-sourced Vietnamese ingredients. The concept is intriguing, and the setting is undoubtedly charming, providing a tranquil escape from the bustling Old Town.

The food, while creatively presented, was simply okay. The fusion concept occasionally felt underwhelming, as the dishes lacked the wow factor you’d expect for the premium pricing. Flavors were pleasant but not memorable, with some dishes struggling to strike the right balance between the European techniques and Vietnamese influences.

What stood out, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable dining experience. Their warmth and professionalism added an extra layer of hospitality that made the visit enjoyable.

That said, the prices were steep by Vietnam standards, which felt a bit out of step with the quality of the food. While the ambiance and service partially justified the cost, it’s hard not to feel that the overall value fell short of expectations.

In summary, this restaurant is a good choice if you’re seeking a refined atmosphere and outstanding service in a picturesque location. However, if you’re a foodie looking for an unforgettable culinary adventure, you might leave wanting more, especially given the...

Tok is a new restaurant of the Hoi An scene and is already buzzing ! The pictorial beauty of arriving through the rice fields kicks off the experience - arriving at sunset is even more impressive than at night. Quickly, you enter the restaurant space, beautifully decorated by co-owner Kate, which sets the mood for a elegant & trendy, inside/outside feel. You sit at the perfectly spaced apart tables to begin the meal. The cocktail menu is short but does the job (great twist on the Moscow mule!). And then, the real show begins. Every dish is exceptional, every first bite will cause you to widen your eyes in amazement. This is modern Vietnamese cuisine at its finest, inspired from the world, but true to its origin. The dishes are modern and inspired. Flavours are explosive, perfectly seasoned, and truly creative. Throughout the meal, the service is both attentive and discrete, irreproachable. My only regret is perhaps that there wasn’t bread to sauce up the sauces, which were each more incredible than the next! These impressions get all the more touching when you learn about the owners amazing success story, and what they are building here. Truly kind people, which will make you feel so welcome and at home. I could not recommend this place more. Congratulations, I wish I can come back soon !...
