We booked online while in travelling in Vietnam, looked good & value for money. Firstly the photos online very misleading... we thought as a group we were booking a 3 bedroom villa type accomodation (It's listed on muliple sights), not so just seperate rooms & not equatible. Next to a construction site. Only one with a very old small tv (bad reception), and no fridge in any. Yes they did have aircon... and that's where our stay turned interesting or the subject of. Shortly after arriving we met a lovely young couple staying there, who volunteered info re: what they were paying & the hosts in general. Tariffs not consistent to level of rooms. Also we were told to keep our luggage safe as hosts enter the rooms when you are out. This was cause for alarm as there was no safes in the rooms, and we felt like we were being constantly watched.... host accom opposite rooms. Consequently we thought it best armed with this info to be careful.... so before going out for a bite we all jammed a piece of paper in each door jam so that it wasn't visible. We also left our aircon on as the rooms were hot & stuffy. Sure enough when we got back we knew straight away our rooms had been entered & the aircon had been switched off! We had booked for a few days here, we all immediately agreed it was neither comfortable nor viable to stay. I reported my concerns to the site I booked this accom with & cancelled the booking. Furthermore we communicated our concerns to the host who upon face value said she understood. So in conclusion not good value, the hosts intrusive/breach security protocols. Over charge for other things eg. airport transfers. Diffucult to deal with after the fact. Finally got a refund of leftover nights (after they promised it would be fine), but had to report it & investigation ensued. DO NOT STAY HERE! There are many many other better value &...
Read moreThe problem is they actually didn't give me the chance to experience this place, even if I had a booking they sent me away. So I arrived at the problem in the early morning after a long walk from the bus station, having regularly booked a dorm for 6 $ on hostelworld and payed the online deposit. I arrive and the old lady who doesn't speak any english receives me with a lsugh, thinking that was a good sign mstbe but bit strange. After another woman arrived who speak a bit of english and they both show me what I think should be my room. its actually a triple room and I booked a dorm with nine beds, and they said that they dont have any dorm available and if I want I can get this for 12 $, because she forgot to change the availability online. Of course I started to get a bit nervous, since I was also really tired, and when I told them no I will still pay 6 $ tgey 'gently' sent me away, and even said I could get some quang noodles for that price! they sent me outside with a laugh..I was really disappointed and sadden, this is not how customers should be treaten especially if you have a confirmed booking already!! this hotel should be...
Read moreWell, I booked through Booking as always. One day in advance, booking confirmed for a private room. But then, I arrived at the place, which is quite far from the city centre, with my backpack, tired, at 7pm and there was one lady who couldnt understand english. Ok, no problem. then, she called someone, after a while, who asked how much I had agreed on booking for the room. When I said I have booked for 7,50 (which is totally possible in Vietnam) she said that this was the price for the dorm and that if I wanted to stay I would have to share with others. When I said that I wanted the price that I agreed for a private room, she just said that it was wrong and that I would have to share. I asked her at least to provide me one nigh for that price, as it was late, but nothing... I read some other girl saying that she had the same, but I though that it was just an accident... but no, it seems that is their policy! Luckly I found a great place, more expensive, but much nicer down the road. Run away from these scammers! It was my first bad experience in Vietnam....
