Ki No was my favorite homestay so far, and I can't recommend this place highly enough. Thảo was excellent. Her English was great and we had several nice conversations amidst my busy schedule. I wasn't there for long, but she managed to build a quick rapport. She's also very knowledgeable about Hoi An. She's been working in hospitality there her entire adult life, so it's unsurprising she's the most helpful host I've ever had. Arranging shuttles, recommending activities, advising me on train procedures, there was nothing she couldn't help me with. She also just has a lot of general knowledge about the city/area and how it's changed with time.
It's also a real homestay. Thảo's family lives in the home, and staying there reminded me of holiday at friends' houses during university. When I first walked in off the street I interrupted her teenage daughter preparing herself a snack in the kitchen, she asked me to wait a moment while she called her mom. It's a family affair, and the warmth is palpable. A gaggle of the son's friends were often sitting in the living room chatting or playing in their phones; a few of whom were excited to practice their English. Thảo was always offering me some of the delightful snacks she was preparing for them (some familiar like fresh fruit, some foreign like an iced sweet bean pudding thing I can't recall the name of but really enjoyed). It was incredibly refreshing to feel so welcomed after so much time solo traveling.
Lastly, Ki No is located on the outskirts of Cau Dai and is an easy ride into the bustle of the city proper, but with a much quieter feel. This neighborhood specifically is the most tourist friendly area I've stayed which wasn't a sanitized resort community or a debaucherous backpackers district. People are nice here. People are helpful here. The prices were reasonable and there was a generally high level of English fluency. Do you yourself a favor and...

Read moreWe stayed for 3 nights. The owner is very helpful.||Breakfast is awesome, banana crepe is highly recommended.||They provide airport pick up car (4seats) cheaper than the taxi at the airport itself.||Even you dont stay at Ki No, their car service is a super good choice for who is looking for a private car with private driver to discover around . Stop where you wanna stop and go when you wanna go.||We hired a 7 seats car to go to Hai Van Pass, visit Lang Co Beach, go thru the tunnel , back to visit the Linh Ung pagoda , had lunch at a recommended restaurant by the driver with cheap food, 150k for a massive fried rice, then visit the Marble Mountain and hiking up there for around 2 hrs. The whole thing costed less than 70USD, so 10usd for each person. ||To sump up, this place is actually super good for...
