Our stay at Hoi An Beach Resort was underwhelming, despite some positives. The best part of our experience was the staff—they were great, friendly, and always willing to help. Their warm hospitality was one of the few highlights of our visit. The breakfast was okay, with a decent variety that changed each morning, which was a nice touch. The plastic wrap cheese however is incredibly cheap so best not even serve it. The overall food quality throughout the River Breeze restaurant remained quite average, and we expected more for the price. We had a couple meals at the restaurant and you'd expect the food to come out hot having waited a long time for it even when they were quiet, but it was nothing more than warm each time. Also for example, the vanilla and coconut ice cream were the most plain tasting ice cream with zero flavour we've ever come across. In all honesty, it's better to walk to some of the restaurants nearby for a better and cheaper priced meal. One of the biggest disappointments was the so-called private beach. It was in poor shape and barely worthy of being classed as a beach. To make matters worse, a busy road separates the property from the shoreline which isn't stated anywhere online, leading to constant traffic noise. The resort rooms facing this ocean view seriously needs better soundproofing, as the noise was disruptive everyday. Speaking of the actual rooms, they were very large, which was a plus, but felt outdated. While clean and functional, they lacked the modern touches expected from a resort of this standard and could do with some modernisation. The only light switches are behind the bed making them difficult to get to. Videos dark because couldn't easily get to light. The bathroom just needs a new sink / tap system as water splashes everywhere which is frustrating and adding a couple of hooks near the shower cubicle for towels post shower, it would be fine. The most frustrating part of our stay was the resort’s smoking policy—or lack thereof. It was absolutely disgusting to have a smoking section placed right at the entrance to the resort, meaning guests had to walk through / by other guests smoking just to reach reception or the restaurant area. The outdoor area in the restaurant is large, and it seems some seating allows for smoking which is disgusting when trying to have a meal and cigarette smoke is blowing at you. Even worse, smoking was inexplicably allowed poolside, which made it impossible to relax without being surrounded by secondhand smoke. Why a resort would allow this in a shared leisure area or the other areas is beyond us and not pleasant for non-smokers. While not the resort's fault, I wouldn't recommend staying here over a weekend. Opposite the resort, some yoga or something happens each Saturday / Sunday and they start at 6am for at least an hour blasting the music, and I mean deafening music so you don't get much sleep. Not a great place to relax in. The fitness centre, while handy to have one, is definitely showing its age. Equipment needs maintained or replaced as it slowly becomes dangerous to use. I do think they also need to add disinfectant spray and wipes that guests can use to wipe down equipment before and after use as they are filthy. I took bacterial wipes and wiped machines etc prior to use and wow they were beyond disgusting. Overall, while the friendly staff and decent breakfast were appreciated, the resort fell short in too many key areas—especially the beach, noise levels, and smoking policy. We wouldn’t rush back, as there are definitely better options in Hoi An.

I had a great time at the resort, alone. I had 2 days of extra time in hoi an so I booked myself into this resort based on good reviews. It’s a bit out of the way (the hotel has a shuttle to the old town) but since I’d have seen all I needed to see, I didn’t plan to leave the resort. My room is super big, a bit older but clean and comfortable nevertheless. Super hot shower with a bath tub - I loved it. Free breakfast included with many options including freshly cooked eggs of your choice. I didn’t eat at the restaurants besides breakfasts, because there are many good restaurants right outside for cheaper. The hotel is backed into a river and facing the beach. The river experience is quite unique. I spent a lot of time in this little hut on the water filming for work. It was just perfect - quiet, private, cool and super calming. I used the gym as well (equipments are super old but enough to do the job). 2 pools. People put their towels on the chairs early which happens in every resort - super annoying. But by the time I went to use the pool in the late afternoon they were tired from all day in the sun and left already. So if you plan to go, after 3pm is a good time. There aren’t many beach chairs, and the beach is small and not so nice. I didn’t bother to waste my time there. The Da Nang beaches are way nicer. The staff is super nice and friendly. I’d stay here again if I ever come back (but this is probably my last visit ever to Vietnam - I find the people here in general are quite rude and harsh compared to all other Asian countries). But if you just stay on this resort you won’t experience that.

My wife and I stayed 10 nights in April. Staff very helpful, with most speaking reasonable English. Any calls to reception were quickly attended by staff, even if on one occasion they brought us towels instead of an itemised bill prior to checking out (a language thing). Great breakfast. Good pools, although the infinity pool, being smaller, gets a bit warm. River view room quite comfortable, although lighting needs to be improved as it doesn’t illuminate the room adequately. Great courtesy bus to An Bang beach and Old Hoi An, but be sure to book your times as gate crashers who haven’t booked can try to jump onboard and leave you stranded (although a taxi is only around $6 Aus each way). Only real negative is staff need to better enforce rules for kids around the swim up bar pool. We saw kids diving in the pool off the bar, using the life buoys as toys and generally running crazy around the pool area, while bar and towel staff did nothing. Happy for the kids to have fun but when their parents don’t stop the bad behaviour the staff need to have the courage and management support to speak to the kids and their parents. Would stay again and recommend a river view room.

The hotel is small very very clean and set in a nice location between the river and the beach in lovely grounds . The rooms are on the larger side with everything you would expect comfy beds and good air conditioning.|The maids keep them clean ( however I did notice they don’t dust under the beds ) There are two pools not a lot of pool beds that may become an issue in high season but was never an issue for us in September .l and there was quite a few beds that offers some shade.|The breakfast buffet had a wide range of foods catering for both western and Asian tastes but not so much for vegetarians and forget it if you are vegan as a large portion ( including the breakfast potato’s ) were cooked including meat) The chef did offer to make me fried rice one morning when I mentioned that the selection was meat heavy but I am not a lover of plain fried rice for breakfast and after 11 days the breakfast did get a bit repetitive. The juice was watered down as it often is in hotels.|The hotel is extremely quiet especially at night there is nothing going on but if you are there to relax and chill out then it could be just what you are looking for .|They do offer some classes although I did not see any happening when we were there and they are not heavily advertised.|There is an additional bar area upstairs but it was always closed so perhaps it’s for rent only? |The bar downstairs offers a wide range of drinks I personally only tried 3 cocktails all were acidic watery and I did not finish any of them but there was plenty of the basic drinks on offer.|There is a free shuttle several times a day into the outskirts of the old town - we did find that it dropped us off quite a way from where it’s all happening so we stopped using it and got our own Grab taxi ( costs about 3 pounds each way ) |The staff ( esp Phuc a waiter in the bar and restaurant area) were very nice and usually remembered our room number however never learned or used our names unlike the other 4 hotels we stayed at this trip where within 2 days they knew your name and greeted you personally every time they saw you so I’d say that is something they could improve upon as I feel it makes guests feel far more at home and welcomed. |The staff around in the bar area would ( very occasionally) come by and ask if we wanted something to eat or drink but 9 times out of ten we would have to get up cover up and go inside to order a cool drink and I found that a bit annoying as they would often just be chatting away or doing side work and not busy at all on holiday I feel it’s nice to be waited on rather than having to go looking for staff.|There are some small shops tailors restaurants and spas walking distance and a small tailor on sight and the beach was clean if not the most exotic |The staff at the beach stood around and chatted whilst I wrestled getting bed cushions from the pile and getting them on the lounge beds and then I had to walk up and ask for towels from the table next to them interrupting their conversation - they paid little if any attention to us and never asked if we wanted drinks or food that day .|Over all my impressions of this hotel are that it’s well worth the money very prity extremely clean with lovely grounds and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to be at the beach area rather than in town. |I may be a little harsher in my reviews as I have worked in a hotel myself in the past and expected a lot from my staff so I see things with an experienced eye for what could and should be possible. That said I’d consider staying here again myself for a short stay in the future and like I said I would recommend it and I hope the managment up their game and get the staff perked up a bit so that the service matches the quality of the hotel itself as that’s the only thing I personally feel like...

We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days . Excellent location, great rooms far from the main Hoi A market but that’s where the story ends . Staff is the worst that I have ever encountered in my whole of Vietnam. Vietnam I would say is a place where people serve with smile and take care of the all your needs . A country where you would never be left unattended. All of these qualities are missing in this property we did this booking and August 23 for a visit in December 23 and we were very clear on our dietary requirements. The day we checked we reiterated those requirements and we were assured that the Breeze restaurant will take care of our requirements and I am say the restaurant was indeed just opposite our the name breeze, they should probably call it a Storm. They didn’t catered to our requirements on day 1 and ended up giving us food that our daughter was allergic to and talking to the Hotel GM Mrs Lan her response was exceptional “ Nothing happened to your daughter, we would do something if something would have happened to her” very responsible and caring statement. But after talking to her for 15 mins I realised why the rest of the staff is the way they are leaders set the standard and Mrs Lan’s response should explain staff’s attitude. So day 1 breakfast that was served and it didn’t help us break our fast. Day 2 same story even worse that day 1 nothing for breakfast after 50 minutes of haggling they served us vegetarian pizza but it was after 50 minutes of haggling and needless to say Mrs Lan was very proud of it, hope you read the pun here. She almost made us feel that we should thank her that they let us stay here. Worst and most rude person I ever met and n my last 10 years of visiting Vietnam. Let’s look at the room maintenance and cleanliness my kids room were not cleaned, they got locked out twice and we had to call the hotel staff to open the door. Water bottles not changed and according to Mrs Lan this is there way of ensuring environment is taken care off . Environment by not giving us water by not cleaning the room , by giving us the same soiled towels, this is definitely a definition I have never come across. She sets the standard and her way of defending her staff not doing the job is to give it “environment spin” . Mrs Hien at breeze is equally attentive of people requirement, pun intended, request given to her on day 1 ensured we got no breakfast on day 2 . She did understand English but guess she learns from her GM Mrs Lan, extremely rude and zero understanding lady. Hope this review helps you in deciding how good the hotel is … excuses given we do not get that kind of raw material in Hoi An. You pls read my other reviews to see what kind of food is available in Hoi An , all excuses Ms. lam had very so unbelievable and clearly she sets the standard. My 10 minutes conversation with her ensured nothing got resolved and she gave me Headache in return I had to a take a Panadol after my conversation with her . This place couldn’t serve a cappuccino because machine was broken all the days...
