I visited Bảo Hân Restaurant in Cửa Đại, Đà Nẵng last year with my parents, and it was such a lovely surprise! We stopped by late at night after a city tour in Hội An. My dad found this place on Google, and even though there were only 1–2 tables when we arrived, we decided to give it a try — we were craving some food and a few beers.
We ordered quite a lot of food for a late dinner, including crab in tamarind sauce (Cua rang me) because I was in the mood for seafood , the crab was super fresh and the sauce was rich and flavorful. We also had grilled wild pork, which was packed with flavor , perfect to eat with rice or roll with rice paper and herbs.
The chicken salad (gỏi gà) was light and refreshing, the soup was super affordable, and the rice portions were generous. Everything was just on point , truly delicious and satisfying.
To top it off, the owner was so friendly and welcoming. At the end of the meal, she even gifted me a small dessert, which was such a sweet and unexpected gesture.
Prices here are very reasonable . I’d even say cheap depending on what you compare it to. I’ve attached a photo of our bill for three people and we ate a lot that night!
Even now, a year later, I still remember the flavors clearly ,this place serves genuinely delicious Vietnamese food, and I truly highly...
Read moreDefinitely recommend the chili crab, the sauce was almost as good as the crab. This is definitely the place to come for the best crab in town. They catch the crab themselves in the river out the back of the restaurant, and beware of other restaurants that sell crab for 100,000 vnd (only one) as they are the small ones that this restaurant catches and sells them the small ones, there is virtually no meat on them, as i tried them and was very disappointed. Bao han restaurant keeps all the biggest crabs they catch and sells them for abit more of a hefty price of 500,000 vnd (for 2 crabs) in their own restaurant, but let me tell you, they are with out a doubt the best crabs in hoian. When you receive your crab the owner personally comes out and pulls apart the crab for you to make sure you get the most out of your crabs, where else can you get service like that, and the restaurants moto is "you don't like, you don't pay" and she hasn't given away a free meal since she started the restaurant 11 years ago. And at the end of the meal you get a free icecream. So in my opinion this restaurant has some of the best food in town at a very reasonable price, what more could...
Read moreWe were staying in the hotel next door and decided to check out this place based on the Google reviews - we weren't disappointed and ended up coming back for lunch the next day before we left Hoi an.
The first night I ordered chicken curry (without onions) and my fiance ordered cashewnut chicken (very mild) - both were cooked exactly as we had requested and both were very tasty and fresh, decent sized portions too. We had the white rose dumplings to share as a starter - really good as well. The quality of the food for the price was excellent, overall the meal was great value and the service was great.
When we came back the next day I ordered the lemongrass chicken and my fiance ordered a vegetarian dish - the restaurant remembered our initial requests from the night before and made mine without onions and my fiancé's very mild which was great. Again, the food was great. Both times we were given free deserts also which was a nice little touch.
I'd recommend a visit to this spot if you are out this direction at the beach, great local food for very reasonable prices. Staff are very accommodating and friendly, and they take card too which is...
