This hotel operates very differently from the usual standards in Asia, where the welcome is generally warm and professional. Here, it's the complete opposite: no welcome worthy of the name, unpleasant and disrespectful communication from the slightest exchange.

I see from the reviews that I'm not the only one that this happened to. It was partially my fault for not reading the agreement carefully or maybe I did but ignored it. I booked this hotel for one night for the day I arrived in Ho Chi Minh City through Agoda for the simple reason that it is located very close to the meeting point for my bus for the next day. The price was great so I couldn't pass it up. I arrived at the hotel around 5:30 pm - 6 pm only to be told the check in time was 10 pm. I double checked my agreement and it does say 10 pm. I think I must have seen that and just ignored it because it's unusual. The check in clerk asked that I pay a larger amount if I wanted to check in at that time. I had only a small amount of Vietnamese Dong on ne at the time so I had to walk and find the closest ATM to withdraw some cash before being able to check in. That aside, the room was fine. It was bright, clean and quiet and was complete with amenities. No issues with it. So anyone looking to book this hotel better read the check in...

I booked Friday Premium Hotel through Booking.com with a confirmed reservation. However, when I arrived, the hotel claimed they had no record of my booking, even though Booking.com resent them the confirmation, clearly showing that the reservation was valid.

In addition to this issue, I was surprised to find that the hotel only accepted cash payments, and did not allow card payments, which was not mentioned during the booking process.

Honestly, I don’t understand how this hotel received such a high rating on Booking.com, given the lack of reliability, transparency, and professionalism I experienced.
