Vuon Saigon — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I booked this hotel during our stay in Vietnam Ho chi Minh city and we booked Deluxe double room for 2 nights. So we arrive there at the reception show our booking they send us to a small room with moldy smell and corridor was very dark and smelly. Once we saw the room it was not same as the pictures and relevant to our deluxe room booking. Went back to the reception and showed them our bookings with the pics and they were like they didn’t know about it and send us to another room. The second room was also not as the ones in the pic and it was drastically different. The surroundings to the hotel are untidy, not clean. The room was more than spacious for one person. Location was great too, nearest Circle K was about 5 mins walk away from the property. Cleanliness was just so so, but appreciate their daily housekeeping service. Two main things, even though the hotel’s description said no smoking in public areas & there is a designated smoking area, I smelled the smoke at the corridor and even inside the room. Therefore, the atmosphere was pretty suffocating to me. Another thing was the water pressure of shower head, it was really bad even with the tap fully switched on. When I reported that to the front desk, the guy said it’s same for every room which doesn’t make sense at all for me & he didn’t bother to do anything to fix the issue. Hotel is near hospitals and a stone's throw away from the Vietnamese National Buddhist Temple. It is 4km away from city center and Benh Thanh Market (Disrict 1).. So besides the temple, there is nothing nearby of touristic significance. You have to take a Grab or cab to city center to see touristic sight and experiences.. Hotel is clean and the room is nice.
