Haven Hut Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Its a budget hotel but definitely a max 3 stars. When I arrived the sheets were dirty and stained, the walls are all dirty and marked and even the tables. I went down to reception and she told me all the room are like that theres nothing they could do. They did change the sheets to new ones which I was thankful for but the room still felt dirty. The shower didnt drain well with the water collecting at the bottom, the mat was so old and discoloured. I requested more pillows as the two I had where very flat and I didnt have a good sleep, they said they would discuss it with the house keepers but I never got any more pillows. When I went to the lobby 50% of the time no one was at the desk. Its a bit off the main area and the street its on is quite dirty. I would not stay there again!

During the check out, we were blamed for a spot on the bedsheet. The problems here were several- first we didn’t make it, second It was a simple dirt that can easily be washed but they asked us to pay extra for “extracting “ the spot. We assume that the receptionist did the spot while “observing” the room alone upstairs since he took the money and did not gave us any receipt. Also when we rejected to pay this scam, he threatened us and told the security to block our way out and we were in a hurry for the airport. I’ve never seen anything like this and i felt offended! Very unprofessional and unacceptable! Another strong negative point is that there is a construction going on and they don’t care about the guests. The noise was starting at 7am and we couldn’t have a proper sleep any...

The location is great, being close to many local shops and restaurants. However, everything else is terrible. The room itself is poorly constructed, and you can hear footsteps from the upper floor. I was disturbed by someone stomping above my head and couldn’t get any rest. I had to call the reception desk multiple times to report the noise, but the receptionist didn’t apologize for the inconvenience at all.

The hospitality here is appalling. No one seems to be friendly or welcoming to the guests. They always look angry for some reason.

The ventilation is also poor. They open the small window in the bathroom, inviting bugs and insects in. The WiFi connection is unreliable, and I barely get a stable connection.
