Interesting place. If you can get it close to budget prices it's worth staying. There are some aspects of this place that are truly great, but a few things keeping it from being perfect unfortunately.
First, the pros: Rooms are overall nice, and my favorite part of the hotel. Bed is more comfortable than average and the design aesthetic is great. I like the bathroom design (although the door to get into the toilet room is a little cramped). I didn't eat there but the drinks at the bar are amazing -- I'm not a cocktail guy and I still loved it. They give you a few free drink tickets. Location is pretty good. There's a cool neighborhood if you go walk away from the main road through the backstreets with lots of small restaurants/street vendors and cafes. There's a "coworking space." Shared kitchen area in the lobby.
Cons: They have a "coworking space," but it was hard to make optimal use of it because I'm a night owl and it closes at 11. I asked if I can use one of the meeting rooms but the employee said it must be reserved, but it was after 11 and nobody was using it. Kind of weird. Also, most of the power outlets in the coworking space don't work. They have an ice chest you can use but it was empty half the time and the ice scoop is unhygienic to be shared amongst all the customers. No fridge in the room (there's an unrefrigerated cooler), but you can use the fridge in the shared kitchen area downstairs. I think it's a bit weird to have such a nice hotel but no fridge in the room. They sell some snacks and drinks but they're twice or more the price of the convenience store which is about a 5 minute walk away.
Overall, I would stay again, but this hotel would be amazing if they just addressed the few complaints I have here, particularly around the coworking...
Read moreMay 18th 2025. This one-star review is more than well deserved. More than six times and on every occasion I've been mentioning the stench of a rotting mouse. It is particularly bad in the elevator shaft. Being in the hotel business myself before giving any such reviews I'm sure to give multiple warnings. I see some days the front desk staff is treated to air conditioning some days they're not I suggest no AC in the lobby have fans outside the door blowing fresh air in so the first impression of your hotel is not a riding mouse. I've told them most of the time they're found in the elevator shaft. Call the hotel gives coupons for free drinks and sometimes free breakfast I do not use it because it turns my stomach off making me want to vomit there is no interest in eating and such an establishment. This morning I just spent plenty of time getting ready to take a shower and shaving getting ready to hit the road and I entered the elevator and feel like I have to hold my breath once again totally upsetting my stomach just after I took medicine for my stomach that was already upset. The next thing I'm going to do is go through my booking receipts and start doing one-star reviews there. That is of course unless the management finally calls me emails me documentation that they have found and remove the mouse I've given them specific instructions that their own maintenance guys should know how to stop elevators on a higher floor use the key to open the elevator door and find the mouse it is most likely there and if it's not there should be enough brains in this hotel to find wherever it is. Sometimes you got to spend money...
Read moreWe stayed there 3 nights in total. No complaints at all. I would stay here again on my next visit.
Pros Convenient location, close to airport (only 70k vnd for grab taxi, there are also direct buses to the airport and district 1 from the main road outside) Very clean, new rooms 1 free cocktail per room per night Free tea, coffee and drinking water downstairs. There are also free chili peanuts and cup noodles if you're feeling peckish in the middle of the night, and they sell interesting looking snacks There's a small supermarket that sells snacks and fruits about 10min away, by the railway tracks Quiet at night, unlike district 1, good for light sleepers The bed is comfortable The cocktails are a bit sweet but the fries are great. The summer ale is decent but also 95k vnd. Pretty extensive breakfast and lunch menu by the in-house restaurant, but we ordered grab food twice Front desk is always ready to help you and the service staff can speak good English 😀
Tips: Try the freshly baked mini cream puffs from the neighborhood bakery "apron and dough" Try "coffee house" instead of Highlands coffee if you need somewhere to relax Try the Michelin starred com tam (com tam ba ghien) and bun thit nuong (nang tho) nearby There is a coworking...
