Everything was good except that we had an issue with one of the concierge staff. We rang concierge at 9am and ask for late check out and a female staff told us that extension until 3pm would cost us additional charges base on 30% of room value for the day (660k vietnamese dong base on that day’s rate). When i went down to make payment, I asked if an extension to 4pm would be the same as 3pm and I got a firm answer yes which was 30% of the room value (660k vietnamese dong). I paid this amount in cash and told the lady concierge staff that I would like an extension to 4pm. At 3.10pm I got a call from a male concierge staff asking me why I have not checked out. I inform them that my extension was until 4 and they told me that extension until 4 is base on 50% of room value( 1.1 million vietnamese dong) and they wanted to charge me an additional 440k Vietnamese dong. This was an immediate red flag for me as it was not really the amount that matters but more of a matter of principle. I feel like I was taken advantage of and that the concierge staff was trying to rip me off. I immediately rejected him but I received a call from concierge a few more times trying to persuade me. In my perspective as a customer, 1) if this was an error made by the staff, the hotel should bare full responsibility of it after all they are a 5 star hotel not a random 4 star, all 5 star hotels I stayed in give extension for free if there are valid reasons. 2) The concierge staff could have been more professional in handling the situation instead of trying to force the customer to cover their mistakes and asking customer to extend from 4 pm to 6pm and pay the 50% extension. 3) It would have helped if the concierge gave a call at 12 to double confirm the extension, so that any mistakes made by their staff could have been rectify earlier and not wait until...
Read moreThis hotel is conveniently located very close to the airport. It is modern, upmarket and seems to attract business people as well as tourists. The hotel is quite corporate and the staff are efficient but not as personable as we have experienced in previous hotels in Vietnam.||The rooms are spacious, clean and modern with large shower areas. They are clean and comfortable. The breakfast area is well maintained with a large variety. We really enjoyed the breakfast and felt it was one of the best for choice. Again the restaurant staff just do their job without really interacting with guests.||I ordered room service one evening but the pizza I ordered was cold, unpalatable and tasteless. It arrived almost one hour after ordering and was not properly cooked. Due to having to take medication with food, and as it was already quite late, I had no choice but to eat it but I really did not enjoy it. As such, I did make a complaint. Mr Ming came to resolve the issue and advised that I would not be able to get a refund and instead offered some milk, desserts and fruits which I accepted. The fruit was to be delivered the following night but as it did not arrive, I called reception, who advised that I now would be refunded, yet on check out, I was presented with the bill, which I again had to advise that I had been informed was not to be charged. I feel this could have been handled a lot better and more clearly. ||Aside from this, we had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the swimming pool area which had nice views of the city and a nice place to...
Read moreI visited the massage service on the 4th floor of Muong Thanh Luxury Saigon Hotel with the genuine intention of receiving a professional and relaxing massage. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. The lady assigned to me appeared to have little to no massage skills, and instead of focusing on providing the service I had paid for, she made inappropriate offers, suggesting sexual services in exchange for additional tips. I made it very clear that I was not interested in such services and only wanted a proper massage.
After I refused, her attitude changed, and she began to behave rudely and unprofessionally. Feeling uncomfortable, I requested to change to another staff member, as I had been told before the service started that staff changes were possible. However, my request was denied. Eventually, another male staff member came over and insisted that changing the therapist was not possible, contradicting what had been said earlier.
As a result, despite paying for a full 75 minute massage session, I left after only about 20 minutes because I was no longer comfortable continuing. This was extremely disappointing for me as a paying customer who simply wanted a professional massage service. I believe that such behavior seriously damages the reputation of the hotel, and I strongly urge the management to address this matter immediately to ensure other guests do not face the same unpleasant experience...
