J&K Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

It was the most awful experience.

We arrived to the balcony door wide open and the door latch broken so was unable to shut the door so all security went out the window

We got given a room which had an ant infestation left the room as we got to the city late and wanted to explore - hoping spraying them would get rid of them. Anything but; we came back to ants all over the bathroom and bed again. Complained to the person on the desk, gave us a new room when we entered the new replacement room it had more ants and 20+ months in it just sitting on the wall. Hair in the plant in the room. It was absolutely disgusting to say the least. Went downstairs to complain again, the guy said he couldn’t offer us a refund until I had a disagreement with him about there expectations of us sleeping alongside a bug infested room, he offered me another room and I assertively declined as he was not listening. Spoke to manager who was not helpful and he said we would have to pay for 3 hours we had our bags in the room even though we wasn’t in there and considering the reasoning to want to move hotels he was not backing down. So we in the end did receive a refund but still had to pay for 3 hours of bugs crawling all over our bags.

Just wanting to reply to the hotels response:- we got to your hotel at 6pm got into our first room, saw there was ants everywhere in the bathroom grouped up all over the floor so we washed them down the drain with the shower, we was going to ignore it and move on. we then went out to the city for a few hours, come back to more ants all over our room and bathroom which is when we asked for a room change which your staff member was happy to do. We got into the second room and the infestation was even worse than the first. We didn’t “enjoy your facilities” we was washing away your bugs! Believe me we didn’t want to move and find a new hotel at 11:30PM. Stating there was profanity language used towards your staff is a lie and it’s really disheartening to us! There was no third room, that’s another lie. We was in your hotel room maximum 30 minutes, you can check CCTV to confirm this. Of course if we were actually using your room for the three hours we would have been more than happy to pay. Ultimately we don’t appreciate you saying “just because I am a young impetuous person” is the reason I was upset- that’s unfair as I’m sure people of all ages would not appreciate bugs all over the bed and bathroom.

I've been there last night. I booked for 3 hours but when I wanted to pay for 1 more hour, a man in front desk rejected and told me he had to clean the room for next booking coming, but when I checked on booking app, that room still available???? moreover, when I paid, he forced me to pay 50.000VND more for extra hour because I checked out 10 minutes late. Ridiculously, he blame the booking app for the extra fee but when I contacted to the booking app, they confirmed that action was not from them. So the payment procedure at this hotel must have something wrong or else that man in the front desk try to take my money to his own pocket. Last, I had been treated as 'a homeless begging for a stay' during my time at the hotel. That man haven't had even a smile and looked away when he talked to me. His attitude was so rude and unfriendly, he made me had a most terrible experience ever at this hotel up to now. i will not come here again to put up with this...
