Phở Bò Đan Phượng-CN3 — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

It's a family restaurant, very cozy because the waiter was very kind, attentive and considerate. The pho, specifically the special (45.000đ) was very tasty and we ended up with a full belly and big smile. We ordered drinks twice, and they were out of some, so the owner went quickly to buy some more for us. After we were finished and had paid, it started pouring (raining) A LOT and we were offered to stay there for a while. However, we wanted to go back to the hotel, and because we were carrying all our luggage (3 backpacks and one suitcase) the owner took the motorbike, ran to the closest store while raining and brought us 4 raincoats. He was the kindest!! I tried to pay him back but he would only refuse.

This may look like a typical family run shop but the pho is exceptional. The broth was especially flavorful, and although it didn’t come with an abundance of meat, the cuts it had were soft and tender. This close to my accommodation. I saw some good reviews. It was really good nice fresh ingredients. The meat was soft and very lean compared to what I’ve had other places. It was nice that you could add exactly what you wanted in respect of herbs as well as chilli lime garlic and free iced tea is awesome.
