M Village Living Điện Biên Phủ (The tropic) — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

The local gen Z boasts about the M Village hotels so I gave it a shot. I was really grossed out with the infestation of bugs lurking in my room, there were two large dead cockroaches, handful of mosquitoes and an abundance of ants crawling all over the table. I freaked out when it was all over my bottled tea and probably digested some when I drank from it without looking first. It certainly freaked me out and I immediately checked out the night before my checkout because I was mortified. I am surprised by the online reviews about its cleanliness.

When I arrived there was no one at the front desk to check me in when I arrived on time at 2pm (check in time) and was told my room was not ready yet. Surprised it’s not ready by check in time! There was no housekeeping. I cringed every time I got back into my room and could not sleep the one night I was there. I was just terrified of all the bugs...

We stayed for about 9 nights here and booked using Agoda.

Our stay was averall good, the apartment was big and clean.

Our bed was a bit to hard to our liking, and the kitchen only had the basics, no salt, pepper etc. They provided bathroom amenities kits which was nice as well as soap and shampoo.

They have a cleaning service every 2 days. The staff is beyond amazing, and helped us when needed.

We enjoyed having the laundry facility on site, it was super convenient and they also provide detergent.

The place is super quiet since it is at the end of the alley way. There are convince stores around as well as restaurants, which was nice to be able to walk to the main road and get things that we needed without driving.

Overall great place and...

Nothing about this property listing is correct. Photos on their listing do not match the property. Nothing on their listing says the rooms will not match. There is no sound proofing. I could hear every word being spoken in their lobby one floor down. Listing says garden view, but your window will or could be on a noise street with scooters all day long. There are longterm residence staying here. Maybe they get cheaper rent for doing so, but they've turned a run down apartment into what they market as a hotel.

I will remove this review once you refund my money. I stayed at your hotel for less then 2 hours on a same day booking. I booked at 9am on March 3 and left less than 2 hours...
