Hợp Coffee Corner — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

After spending a month in Ho Chi Minh as a specialty coffee lover, I can say that Hợp Coffee Corner was definitely my favourite cafe! Tucked away at the end of an alleyway, the cafe is hidden from sight until you’re right in front of it, but making the effort to find it is well worth the reward.

The drinks were all made with an unbelievable amount of love and care - from the hand-made pourovers, to the slow brewed cold-drip coffee (which is still the best I’ve ever had), and the classic salt coffee, all of which are on par with the best in the city.

While waiting for your drinks, you can soak up the carefully curated atmosphere of the shop - it’s beautifully decorated and it really adds to the vibe of the place (the music is very tasteful too).

The owner and staff are some of the most hospitable, friendly people I have met in the city; they really go out of their way to make the place feel welcoming. After chatting to them, it’s clear how much of a passion project Hợp Coffee Corner really is. I ended up returning many times to enjoy the coffee and the atmosphere, and bought two bags of their home-roasted coffee beans in my last visit (both delicious too, of course).

The coffee? Absolutely exceptional. Each cup is crafted with care, rich in flavor, and clearly made by people who love what they do.

FOOD & DRINKS I ordered an orange honey cinnamon tea and it was really good. It wasn't super sweet like you sometimes get in Saigon.

SERVICE The two youngsters working there were friendly and sweet.

ATMOSPHERE Even though it isn't the most spacious coffee shop, it makes up for it with its nice decor and love to simple details.
