Hotel Review: NESTA HOTEL SAIGON CITY – Group Stay Experience (2nd–5th August) Location: Centrally located in Saigon, convenient for city access.
Unfortunately, our overall experience with this hotel was disappointing — especially as a group booking from India with 20 rooms. Here are the key issues we faced:
Room Allotment Not Honored: Despite repeated reminders before arrival and during check-in that we did not want rooms with small or no windows, the hotel still assigned us exactly those rooms. No corrective action was taken even after multiple requests.
Non-Responsive to Room Change Requests: The staff showed little willingness to help, even when we asked many times to change rooms. We were constantly told no other rooms were available, without offering alternatives or solutions.
Non-Functional Air Conditioning: One of the rooms had a non-working AC, and they had no backup room. The guest had to sleep with just a fan for the entire night — unacceptable in Saigon’s humid weather.
Extra Bed Charged But Not Provided: The hotel charged us for an extra bed for 3 nights in one room. But we later found out only one room in the entire hotel can actually accommodate an extra bed — and that was already occupied. So we paid for a service that was never provided, despite daily follow-ups.
No Support from Local Agent: We had booked through a Vietnam-based local agent, but even they were ignored by the hotel. The agent told us, "You speak directly to the hotel, we can’t help."
Staff Politeness: On a positive note, the front office staff is polite, friendly, and always greets with a smile. They tried to help wherever possible, but the hotel’s limitations left them helpless.
⚠️ Final Advice:
If you're booking as a group, double-check everything in writing beforehand, especially regarding room types, amenities, and service availability.
📌 A message to local travel agents: Please avoid booking Nesta Hotel Saigon City for your clients. If you value your company reputation, this hotel may ruin it with such poor service and lack of cooperation. Even with a large group, they don’t take responsibility or...
Read moreI chose this hotel because of its central location to all the tourist places and position on a quiet side street. We caught bus 152 from the airport to save and it dropped us near enough to the hotel. It's within 5 min walk from a lot of restaurants, sites and the Ben Thanh market and this is a recommended area. The rooms are compact but ours (804) had a window (looking onto the next building) and the bathroom was good with a separate shower, it was cleaned daily. There was a safe in the room and a small fridge / mini bar, kettle, TV and comfortable beds. The staff were english speaking and very friendly, they helped us get a taxi twice with no problem. The pool and outdoor area is small but nice. We loved the breakfasts and found the food of great quality and taste and better than we were expecting for what we paid for the room package. The only negative for us was that on our last night, the front desk called and accused us of damaging the pillowcases (for the last 3 nights) and said that we would need to pay. The marks are clearly from an iron, which we did not have with us. In the morning the manager sorted it out but it was still really disappointing as we had had such a good experience at this hotel until then. To note, there are many very narrow hotels in the area so I assume the rooms are more on the compact side at other places too. On the tourist side I recommend Tonkin coffee, just down the street, the Banh Mi place (near the traffic circle to the west) and Saigon Eco craft (Next to Thanh Dai Botique shop - just south of Nesta) for souvenirs, especially coffee. The outside of the hotel pictured below is an example of what many of the hotels look like...
Read moreI wish there's a minus rating. We came with a tour group about 24 people with Exotica tour. We paid the same price as everyone. Many got suites and a couple people got a tiny room ( I saw a review here, it sound like the same room we're in with the shower flooded and the view ). Water flooded when shower, toilet stained, torn on the rim of the towels. I wish I can share the discussing pictures. We reported about the shower flood, a girl came said we need to take out the top part. So we have to do plumbing now. 😡 I'd never imagined this is happening. They changed a better room for a couple we talked to, one said because they threatened to sued them. We didn't do that. The guy we talked to at front desk in the morning said we need to pay more money to get a bigger room. I told him no, we came with Exotica group. Others got suites and why we got a tiny room? He said he will check with the manager when he come in at 8am. After breakfast, we went back to check at the front t desk. There were 2 girls. We told them that we'd talked to a guy earlier in the morning about our issue. One was very rude maybe she the manager. She said rudely we need to talk to the company Exotica. We told some people in our group, one person told us to contact Kathie in our group WhatsAp. My husband talked to Kathie about our issues above on the phone. She told him to text her. He texted her 3 days ago that she will check into it. 3 days passed, nothing. They ruin our trip and give us a lot of stress. Not recommend this hotel. This trip is a Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. Needless to say, we will not use...
