Read moreWe were here around one week ago. We arrived tired after a long day of riding a motorcycle around 5 p.m. We were welcomed with watermelon and lemonade. The lady who welcomed us was very polite and spoke English. The room was clean, nice and also had a decent bathroom. There was even a space in the common room for everyone to prepare a simple meal. The next day we walked around the citadel in the morning, leaving our things in the room and an hour before check-out, we came back to freshen up before the trip and left the premises without any problems. I have no complaints, apart from the smell of cigarettes in the room and the view of the garden from the window was a slight over-interpretation. Read moreThe homestay is very new, and while the rooms are extremely clean and they have comfortable beds I just really missed the welcoming hostel vibes as a solo traveler. This might stem from the hosts not speaking well English yet and the host being a bit too straightforward, coming into the room while I made myself ready and waiting for me to pay.
