Bún Bò Mụ Rơi (Bui Tre Vàng) — Restaurant in Hue City

We wanted to find authentic bun bo hue beyond what we had tasted at restaurants and also our hotel breakfast, so decided to check this place after reading recommendations online. It was not bad, especially the crab meatballs. But it seemed that they had ran out of pork blood, or they assumed that we don’t eat (tried to ask for it but was lost in translation). Also be prepared to pay foreigner tax, as each bowl is 50,000 vnd. I’m pretty sure the locals pay a different price. It’s not a big deal but just doesn’t feel good to be fleeced. Also as many reviewers had mentioned, the stall is quite dingy and doesn’t appear very clean, so it doesn’t really justify...

Came for Bun bo hue, received something different than Vietnamese people around… inside just meat and one crab meatball. The broth was not red as the broth in others people bowls. Simply I received something different and paid 55 thousands dong. I asked why I received this and that it’s not Bun bo hue like others, the young lady that was taking the money was answering only „that bun Bo hue, bun Bo hue”… I don’t know if they treated me like this because I’m foreigner, but that was not good.. 3 stars because crab meatball was good,...

Or waiter Tan was very attentive to my nervousness as I was at first not too comfortable being in the dark but he successfully calmed me down with his guidance. I think this is definitely something you should try and it would be a very enriching experience. The staff’s helpfulness completed the entire experience and I think it was one of the best dining experiences I have had...
