Wonderful clean spacious rooms with the best AC which kept the room very comfortable and dry. (important for drying our hand washed clothes). The staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast was a bit limited compared to other nice hotels we stayed at in Vietnam but still much better than most US hotels lol.
The only negative comment was the motorbike we rented from the hotel. The motorbike would not idle without holding the throttle open, the brakes were horrible. To start the engine I had to hold the throttle open and still it took many cranks to get it started. Then it would die unless I revved the engine which makes the bike want to go forward. Fortunately I grew up ridding real motorcycles. But the big issue is that the motorbike left us stranded near sunset. After sitting for three hours while we took a boat tour, it would not start no matter what we did with the throttle. I think the battery was too weak to provide a good spark while the starter labored to crank the motor.
Fortunately there was a taxi available to take us back to town. That trip cost more than the daily motorbike rental. We were lucky we were not in a more remote sightseeing area. That would have been a disaster.
Do not rent a motorbike...
Read moreWe changed accommodation few times during our travel, while also doing an extensive search of hotels and stays before arriving at Tam Coc. So better believe when I say you need to look no further than the Le Maison :)
The rooms are exactly as in the photos. All furniture is new and modern, and everything is squeaky clean which is one of the most important things for us. They are also quite spatial which makes the stay very comfortable. The hotel was busy with quests but we had a good sleep with no noise coming from the neighbours.
The owners are very nice and helpful people. They let us check-in sooner than the check-in time at the day of arrival. They also offer a laundry service which we were very satisfied with. They help transfer the luggage to the room. They provide free water at departure and free bikes (most hotels around do that but it’s still a nice gesture by them).
The location we also liked a lot, as it’s a short walk from the centre of Tam Coc but still away from all the noise and honking.
We loved it so much we came back twice during our...
Read moreLoved this little hotel ! Room was HUGE and spacious. Bathroom was clean with a great shower.
Close by to a couple of main temples. Cycles are available for free, and the main city area is just about a km away (so about 5 minutes of cycling).
Other notes:
Laundry service is simply BRILLIANT. The clothes came back smelling clean and wonderful, folded neatly. We loved this so much that we gave ALL our clothes for laundry before returning home because less work at home lol. Quite reasonably priced too
The gentleman at the front desk speaks no English so it was a bit difficult to communicate with him. We used the translator so it was alright. But he was soooo kind and sweet and polite.
There is a little dog at the hotel called Moonmoon. A real sweetheart. Although she does need a lot of skin treatment, she keeps itching herself and I find that a bit gross especially in the breakfast area.
I had the best sleep at this hotel on their super...
