Phi Hung's Unique Homestay — Hotel in Ninh Bình Province

A decent property at a great price

Let not the flaws like absence of a soap or inconsistent shower speed be overshadowed by what is otherwise a great homestay at a very good price situated barely a furlong away from the Tam Coc boating area and the main bus stop. There are many convenience stores and restobars located nearby. The hotel lady was kind enough to store my bags after the checkout as per my request, till I collected them in the evening.

It is a bit difficult to reach here if one is to follow the route of Google Maps, and more so given that the lanes are a bit narrow and there are many homestays around, at least that's what I experienced when reaching here, so it is likely that one will have to ask around to reach here.

The breakfast the next day was good. The surroundings are largely peaceful except in the night where the nearby loud bars could be a source of noise. The homestay has many plants and also provides cycle and motorbike services and...

I've read really good reviews and decided to give this place a day. Totally worth it.

Ninh Binh is a small town and staying at Phi's made it super easy to move from one place to another. They offer bicycles and scooters at affordable rates.

They provide delicious breakfast (again, affordable) if you want to. Dinner can be requested as well.

The family provides great information on the places of interest, and recommends you on how to get there. Take their advice, is my advice. Cycling long distance is a great sport but not when you want to quickly move from one historical landmark to another.

Be prepared to be greeted by them on your return from your adventures. I personally find it really heartwarming. They treat their guests super well and makes an effort to take great care of everyone staying here.

Seriously the best stay in our 3 months of travel. The owners were SO accommodating and hospitable. Our bed was comfortable, room was clean and homestay was nice and central. The woman also rents bikes and motorbikes right at the homestay which was very convenient. Breakfast was nice, your choice of tea/coffee and an array of juice plus a breakfast plate of your choosing. She also helped us book our sleeper bus to Da Nang (which was probably the best sleeper bus we’ve taken all trip - 20beds, big ones that lay flat & also bathroom on board so limited stops). On top of that she let us shower even after check out providing us with fresh towels. She also took us to the bus - carrying our big backpacks on her scooter! The hospitality from them was top-tier.
