I booked a double room for 2 nights 29th-31st December with Agoda. When we arrived, the manager John said that he was transferring us to a new hotel 2km plus down the road. No options given. Thus I can’t review Volga but only my experience with the whole situation. I only saw the reception area of Volga for 5 minutes. The new hotel PhamGia had no pool (John said we can use the pool at Mui Ne Sports hotel across the road and about 100 m away.) We were put on the 3rd floor and we asked for a lower floor (we are 2 middle-aged ladies) the owner Kevin said there’s only one twin room in the whole place. There are 12 rooms over 3 floors (not including the ground floor. The WiFi didn’t work on the 3rd floor and they excuse was that our less than a year old iPhone 8plus was not compatible with their router. Thus we had to use our data 99% of the time:-( it does work when we were on the ground floor! No hot water for two days as it was cloudy and their solar panels couldn’t generate heat. Interesting excuse. Thus when we woke up at 4am for the Dawn sand dunes tour-brrrr cold water:-( They had a banner stating 600,000 dong per night until the 30th December. I paid roughly 825,000 dong per night. Manager mentioned that the price is around 1 million dong during this weekend. Understand that during peak season, the hotels sometimes sells out for a higher price. Since I went through Agoda, I didn’t expect this situation to happen. Very disappointed. Maybe it’s because we were two Asian ladies and easily bullied? Doesn’t leave a nice impression despite the smiling faces of the manager/owner. Positives- nice maid, clean and decent location with nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Room was on the 3rd floor and when we asked for a lower floor (we are two middle aged ladies) they say there’s only one twin room in the whole hotel!!! There’s actually 12 rooms over 3 floors (not counting the ground floor).|The WiFi didn’t work and my traveling buddy and i had to use our data 99% of the time. Excuse given was that our less than a year old iPhone 8plus mobile phones were not compatible!! It does work when we were on the ground floor, though. |No hot water for the first two days- reason was that it was cloudy and their solar panels couldn’t generate enough power for hot water. Moreover, the room that they offered to us was in another hotel, which wa located 2km far from this hotel. We complained about that but they didn't changed. Even they didn't apologize, just did kidding to us "It's same distance, really near to main road"

Cuz we didn't wanna pay more. We did say we will just use the room we've booked Don't wanna pay more. But you offered another hotel. In addition, today you asked us change the room to big room, but we already used the room and we don't wanna spend time to change room again. Third, we didn't pay for Mui Ne Sports Hotel, but Volga hotel. If you really have a problem about booking system, at least you should inform to us before 3days.
