Muine de Century Resort & Spa — Hotel in Phan Thiết City

Do not stay at this hotel.|Have stayed in many hotels across SE Asia so am used to things like musty smells and occasional cockroaches etc. |First impressions of the hotel was not good. No front desk staff on site (at about 4pm). A security guard called the staff member who showed up 15 minutes later by motorcycle. Whilst waiting we looked around. Seating in waiting area full of mold. Pool was full of algae and broken tiles. None of the facilities (playground, benches, gardens) were present. The beachfront area was crumbling and had exposed wiring. This was a common theme around the grounds. The beach itself was disgusting. Covered in garbage. |There were aggressive stray dogs wandering the property. |We were booked to stay in a beachfront room. Upon entering the room we saw cockroaches scattering everywhere (about 20) and the room smelt extremely bad of mold. You could see where they had painted over the mold to hide it. The bedsheets were dirty and covered in fine debris like they had sanded the walls without drop sheets. |We returned to the front desk via a dangerous walk along the pathway filled with holes and no lighting. The front desk were not helpful. Showed us another room which was the same. |We said we wanted our money back to which they refused. They had zero facilities open. No restaurant, no spa, no gym which we pointed out. They said too bad. A manager would not come to speak to us until 10am the next morning but we refused to stay the night. Moved to another hotel but returned in the am to speak to the manager who didn’t appear from their office til 11am. Then had discussions that just went round and round for two hours. The manager would say one thing and then deny it. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional resort and I can honestly say it was one of the most rejuvenating experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the meticulous landscaping of Muine Century. The beautifully manicured gardens, vibrant flowers, and charming pathways created an enchanting atmosphere that was perfect for capturing stunning photos. Each corner of the property seemed to be designed with aesthetic pleasure and relaxation in mind.

The private beach access was a true highlight of the stay. It offered a secluded and tranquil escape with breathtaking views of the ocean. The feeling of soft, warm sand beneath my feet and the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore made it the perfect spot for unwinding and reflecting. It felt like my own personal paradise, away from the hustle and bustle.

The pools at the resort were nothing short of immaculate. They were consistently clean and well-maintained, providing a refreshing oasis for both relaxation and recreation. Whether I was taking a leisurely swim or lounging by the pool, the pristine conditions added to the overall sense of luxury and comfort.

One of the pleasant surprises was the breakfast included with our stay. Each morning began with a delightful spread of fresh, flavorful options. From delicious pastries and fruits to hearty dishes and freshly brewed coffee, the breakfast set a positive tone for the day and fueled me for all the activities the resort had to offer.

Overall, every detail of the resort—from the stunning natural surroundings and impeccable amenities to the exceptional service—contributed to an incredibly rejuvenating stay. We stayed at the resort of 4 nights, in August 2019, in a pool view room. Staff were very friendly and helpful, grounds were perfect and the pool cleaned constantly. The room was very spacious and everything was super clean, but both the room and furnishings were well worn. The bed was super comfortable and the linen nice. Although they could use some new towels. Not sure what was going on with the shower (which was over a bath) but every time we showered the bathroom floor was covered in water. ||We had both breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant during our stay. Would rate it as average at best. It appears they cater for Eastern European tourists and rather than serve good Vietnamese food, they serve average Westernised Vietnamese food, which lacks all the flavours you expect. It may be that the meals on the Western menu were better but we didn't try them.||Used their laundry service while staying. Information in room stated a 12 hour turn around. Not sure if this was correct as it turns out you have to ring the desk and ask for the laundry to be returned rather than it just returning.
