We stayed here for 2 nights in October, when we arrived after a 14 hour train journey we couldn't get into the reception area it was locked. A woman came out shouted Agoda at us and gave us a key and then disappeared. We had to find the room ourselves and then return to reception as there were no towels and toilet roll in the room and we weren't given the wifi password. We weren't given any information about the guesthouse and there was no information in he room. So we had no clue what time the pool was open when check out was, we didn't have a map etc. ||The next day we went down to reception to find out where we could rent a motorbike from and the boy there spoke no English he rang through to a woman who spoke little English. She asked if we wanted to rent a motorbike to which I replied yes and she said "ok one minute". I heard an engaged tone for 1 minute before the phone started to make a very loud noise at this point the boy took the phone off me and hung it up with no explanation. We waited a minute but no one came down so we just left and had to walk 20 minutes down the road to rent one from a hotel. ||The room and bathroom was spacious and mostly clean. During the rain at night time the power would cut off 2 or 3 times a night for 10-20 minutes at a time. ||I had no problems with the room my issue lied with the staff we ended up going to other hotels to rent bikes get maps etc stuff that they can provide but don't. ||One night we waited the storm out until 11:30pm and decided to go out as we needed bottled water. There was a security guard at the gate so we told him we would be back in 5 minutes and he didn't understand us he said "no, no weed" which was a little concerning. ||This place has the potential to be much better than it is, if you know your way around Mui Ne and are familiar with where to find the things you need then this place is fine. Its super overprised (we are talking about $70 dollar per night!?) the room was quite big and had 2beds, the toilet is placed very bad in the corner closed to the wall and a pipe is leaking out water on the floor. So it was always wet on the floor in the bathroom. Ants and geckos in the room and the aircon didn’t work. They fixed a person to fix it tho so that’s good. We had booked for 2 nights, she said that when we checked in that we had to change room the next morning because that room we had was reserved. Ok we thought, maybe it’s to a double bed since we don’t really need two beds to begin with. WRONG, they changed us to the room under which looked EXACTLY the same. Even though it was the “same” room it was a downgrade. Mold in the roof, water leaking from the roof from our old room, mattress was dirty,ants everywhere and the air was humid. We was there for not even 15 minutes when we decided that we cannot live there. So we went to the front desk and explained everything, we want the money back for the last night. No refunds she says. Okay... got her to call the manager and then said they could give us 50% of the price for one night. But we hadn’t even stayed in the room for more than 20 mins. The reason was because she wouldn’t sell the room for that day. So much bull. Asked to talk to the manager but was told that he don’t understand English. Great. By this point we were so angry and disappointed that we just wanted to leave. We took the 50% and left.|So no, don’t take your time and book a room here. Just don’t. Read moreI have been woken up by construction and House keeping at 7 Am in the morning. Around 9, my boyfriend went at the reception ask them if construction could start later because people sleep at 7.. and the reception lady told us to respect the workers that come from far ?!?! We asked if tomorrow it would be the same and she said that they would not be there ( as it will be Saturday ) so we decided that we wanted to stay one more night but she wanted to charge the ‘regular price’ but i asked the day before when we arrived if we stay one more night if it would be the same Price that we Paid on Agoda and she mentionned for tomorrow Yes same Price , but not the days after tomorrow.
