There are some positives about this accommodation but we had quite a negative stay here:||||Negatives: The location is not ideal, it's down quite a dark road but you can borrow bikes from the host. I would not recommend doing this cycle in the dark, which was after 5.30 when we stayed. The host was very persistent and badgering us after we booked our tour and transport with a booking agent in the town. Although when we arrived he never discussed tours with us he just left a booklet beside us when we were by the pool later that day. It was very uncomfortable as he seemed to take it personally that we did not book with him. However the bus we booked to our next stop was at 8 and he didn't even know that bus existed and continued to ask what price and what bus we booked and each time would reiterate we could have gotten the same here. He was also very reluctant to drop us into town to get the bus as he insisted it was a mini bus and it could come to the homestay. He eventually agreed to drop us in to the town after asking again. The bus was a big coach in the end so it wouldn't have made the trip on the small road. We found him extremely difficult and almost childlike in the way he dealt with the above.||||Positives: The rooms are big, clean and quite new. The showers were lovely and hot. The hosts wife made lovely pancakes for breakfast. The host picked us up at 4am from the night bus and let us sleep in an empty dorm until check in.||||After our experience I would not return to...
Read moreUnfortunately me and my friend had a terrible experience here. I don’t know if things have gone downhill since COVID but we booked weeks in advance for them to reply 1 day before saying they now only had one night available and leaving most other places unavailable. We booked a family because we wanted a double bed each but then upon arrival he said that he only had a double room and we had to pay the same price. He blamed his lack of communication on that he hasn’t had many tourists book through Hostelworld which we explained wasn’t our fault. As we booked through that for 3 nights and then only could stay one it meant that he tried to get us to cancel our booking which would mean we would lose the deposit we had paid which would have been half the cost of the one night. He then got aggressive and blamed us for not saying more when we arrived. Again we said that we’d had flights delayed and a long journey and just wanted to get into our room. He then still expected us to pay the full price of the room but we refused and he then threatened to call the police and locked the gate so we couldn’t leave. We were so disappointed cos we did so much research before booking and saw lots of good reviews but our only experience was inconvenience, lack of communication, aggression and trying to sell anything possible to us. Read moreWe stayed at the Homestay only one night but everything was great. We arrived ad 4 am and Hugo gave us the possibility to sleep 2 hours in the dormitory, this was deeply appreciated as we were traveling the whole night. The day after we had a really tasty breakfast prepared from his lovely wife. For breakfast you can choose out of many dishes that she prepares for you at the moment. We had a big room with 2 double beds that we shared with our friends. The room was huge and clean. The Vietnamese dinner at the homestay was delicious. Hugo and his family are great people, very welcoming and trying to help where they can. Hugo helped us also to book a private transfer to Hoi An.||I would definitely recommend to stay with...
