Dawn homestay is the perfect place to stay in Phong Nah to see the caves and National Park! A peaceful little oasis on the edge of idyllic Phong Nah town.
It is family run and hosted by the incredible Tutu who will organise everything for you at cheap prices with a lovely smile. She is by far the best host we have ever had - so bubbly and friendly and perfect English! We asked her so many questions and she was always super helpful and responsive and patient. Organising scooters, tours, connections to the airport and more! Hwan and the rest of the family were also so great :)
The homestay has a pool and a shaded outdoor space with a dining area and pool table to hang out. The rooms had powerful AC and were very spacious and clean.
There is great breakfast included and they do lunch and dinner too with a great menu. They also have family dinners every few nights which were super fun to experience local food and chat to everyone.
We loved the activities: the Phong Nha kayak tour, Paradise Cave, and Dark Cave but there is so much more to see in Phong Nha we wished we had more than 3 nights. So much scope for adventure and beautiful scenery in the National Park.

Read moreWe absolutely loved our stay at Phong Nha Dawn home, it was absolutely perfect and I would recommend staying here to everyone! The room was spacious and very clean with a comfortable bed and the facilities at the home stay were excellent. The breakfast was delicious and we also chose to eat at the home stay both evenings at ‘family dinner’ with the other guests, the food was incredible and it was such a lovely atmosphere. What makes this place so special is Tu Tu and her family (including their most adorable puppy). I had been messaging Tu Tu the week leading up to our stay and she had been so helpful, booking in advance a cave tour for us, sorting out our night bus transport and arranging to pick us up when we arrived to Phong Nha. She absolutely goes above and beyond for all of her guests and makes us feel like family, this place really felt like home and I didn’t want to leave. I have never met people that work so hard to make sure her guests have a lovely stay, I cannot thank...
Read moreSeldom do I post reviews, but I would feel guilty if I did not on this particular occasion. This is a must stay in Vietnam. This is my second monthly visit to Vietnam now and I have never experienced this level of hospitality. Tutu is an exceptional host that will always go the extra mile to ensure a happy stay. She is the most kind, caring, thoughtful, smiley, and funny woman we have met in Vietnam. She picked us up in the early hours of the morning when our sleeper bus arrived. She made me pho for breakfast despite not typically being included. She made us feel like part of her family. For me this is what a true homestay should feel like. As a bonus the rooms are wonderfully clean and spacious, the AC is great, hot water works well, and motorbike rental/tours are easy to book. If you are visiting Phong Nha please do not skip the opportunity to stay here. If you do, opt for at least one night for the family style dinner with Tutu and her family for an evening of laughs and...
