Laugh Cafe — Restaurant in Quảng Bình Province

I never normally go back somewhere, feels like a waste to not broaded my horizons in a new place. But I have been to Laugh Cafe every night I was in Phong Nha, and am actually quite sad to be leaving. This is the best value for money food I have had in 5 months of travelling Asia, would highly recommend the Chilli Lemongrass, sweet and sour fried beef and sweet and sour fried pork. Top 3 meals of our whole trip, and to make it even better it’s like 30k for a main dish! Owner was incredibly hospitable, even putting up hand held lights so we could see because all the lights went out in a thunderstorm! Just the kind of personal touch that I’ve never had before. We found The Laugh Cafe because we were looking for a fruit smoothie. We went in and end up ordering food. Good price, wonderful food, good quality and quantity. Hương was so lovely and friendly with us, we felt at home. We recommend the chicken lemon grass with rice and the tofu with tomato, the beef Pho is very good aswell. During our stay in Phong Nha we came here twice. Eating at Laugh Cafe feels like you are eating in someone's home. The hospitality is incredibly warm and the food is delicious. Rất rat ngon.

Highlights were the special fried rice and the tofu with tomato sauce, but everything we ate was delicious.

We only wish we could have stayed longer and eaten more off the menu... And learnt a little more Vietnamese...
