Phong Nha Jasmine Hostel & Rooftop Bar — Hotel in Quảng Bình Province

AVOID!!! Almost all of the negative issues in this review can be amended easily by the hotel - meaning, they should have been prevented in the first place. And they are also a minimum standard for a hotel accommodation and stay.

There are 2 brothers managing the place. When leaving I was asked how was my stay, so I mentioned below issues. After each one the guy apologized and asked me not a write a negative review. After each one! He offered me bottles of water for my trip (which I didn't need and refused to accept) and apologized again. I explained this to him plainly: I work hard for my money to be able to travel. If I pay for a stay at a "hotel" there are minimum standards to be obtained, and also - I want others to know so they can get their money's worth as well.

No small/hand-face towels. When introduced into room I asked the receptionist about small towels, he said they don't supply any, just body towels. Shower tube of the handle has corosion. Very unclean and nasty. Hot water were enough ONLY!! for a quick body shower, and not enough for a hair wash. So 4 days I couldn't wash my hair. Shower handle made of metal. Gets super warm and uncomfortable to use + The towels shelf is crooked and abt to disconnect from the wall. December in Phong Nha is VERY cold! No option for warm air on the air condition. Bus to Hoi An (7 hours) was booked at the hotel. I asked to make sure there are toilets on the bus, and were told there will be, but there weren't any.

Sheets were not super clean and I noticed one tear, but didn't photographed that.

The staff is very generous and helpful. He gave advice for activities, booked our next bus and rented us his motorbike. He even invited us to watch the final soccer match of the national team with him and his friends, which was a really fun experience. The free breakfast was really nice, pancake, fruit, juice and coffee and also other options, while enjoying the beautiful view over the valley from the rooftop. Room had a nice balcony, was clean and beds were comfy. We could leave our bags after checking out and even use a hot shower after a day of activities before we took our next bus. Would...
