The Tree House Cafe & Restaurant is a small but delightful place to eat with a good selection of both food and beverages featuring upon their menu. From all-day breakfast dishes through to Vietnamese & Western cuisines. Providing drinks, both alcoholic (beers, wines, spirits & cocktails) and non-alcoholic (coffees, teas, juices, smoothies, milk shakes & soft drinks). They provide an outdoor dining section and an air-conditioned indoor section (inclusive of a pool table with free usage). Both sections get busy during peak dinner times, so you may not get a table immediately, but relatively quiet outside of this time frame. I opted to try a late afternoon lunch, whilst it was empty. This makes it convenient for me as I travel with my dog, who was allowed inside with me. All the female staff are very helpful, attentive, and genuinely friendly (especially Ngoc...pictured with my dog), providing a welcoming atmosphere for the customer. I was even invited to play a game of pool with Ngoc, as it was so quiet, staff had time to chill with me. While reviewing the menu, I tried the Coconut Coffee (50k), which was very nice (relatively close to one of the best I've had during my travels all over Vietnam). Being a late afternoon lunch, I didn't want anything too heavy, so I opted for a basic Com Chien Hai San (Seafood Fried Rice - Shrimp & Octopus) at 90k. It was a nice surprise to have the fried rice served in a toasted style (crunchy/crispy instead of soft, like most other restaurants serve), but it could have done with a bit more flavour, though adequate nonetheless and no complaints. The serving portion was the standard size you'd receive in most other restaurants. I would like to return and try a few more of their dishes in order to write a more comprehensive review, but from what I experienced (both food and service) Tree House Cafe & Restaurant was thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended for tourists and travellers alike, but maybe a bit too pricey for the budget...

Tree Restaurant Cafe & Restaurant is a true hidden gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. I was immediately impressed by the peaceful, nature-inspired atmosphere — surrounded by greenery, wooden accents, and a cozy yet modern design that creates the perfect setting for any occasion.
The food here is simply outstanding. Every dish is thoughtfully crafted, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. I especially enjoyed the fruit salad and chicken cashew nut vegetable, chicken lemongrass also Tofu and curry — it was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The menu offers a great mix of local and international cuisine, with vegetarian and healthy options available too, which I really appreciated.
What really stood out to me, beyond the food, was the warm and professional service. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the restaurant. They were happy to answer questions and made great suggestions based on our preferences.
The drinks were another highlight — their fresh juices and signature coffee blends are must-tries. And don’t leave without trying the desserts! The banana bread cake and pancakes with honey &jam, chocolate brownie cake was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
Whether you’re here for brunch, a special dinner, or just a peaceful place to enjoy coffee and conversation, Tree Restaurant is a place you’ll want to return to again and again. A perfect balance of ambiance, quality, and care.

One young lady on the staff was beautiful. She came and spoke to me for awhile, and she was lovely... really lovely.
She made my night much more enjoyable. She spoke English very well
It was a quiet night and it's not a bustling metropolis, so not at all busy... but the area is magnificent, the town it's in has a charm to it.
I ordered a seafood pizza. About 45 minutes passed before it arrived, which gave me time to drink a few beers and watch life go by in beautiful Phong Nha. I didn't ask when it would be ready... I just relaxed, enjoyed the peace and tranquility, and waited.
OMG! I can't recall ever having a pizza better than this... seriously! It was super fresh, the toppings were generous, the amount of cheese was spot on and the dough was absolutely perfect, like perfect... I can't believe I'm even saying this, I'm in remote Vietnam?!?
This is why a pizza should take 45 minutes. Not cos toppings are defrosting, or they need to run to get some more pizza bases from the supermarket (sure they don't have em here anyway). It's for the perfect pizza!
