the food is nice enough but be aware, if you have a nut allergy do not eat here. before we sat down we specifically asked staff if they have any food without nuts as my partner is allergic, and they said yes, whatever we want they can make it with no nuts. we sat down and ordered and reiterated that we cant have any nuts, the owner said i understand, trust me, ive talked to the chef he wont put any nuts in it. we received the food and after taking one bite my partner had an allergic reaction. he asks if theres a problem and i explain that we cant eat this as there are nuts in it and he defensively says that theres not, and brings the chef over to say theres no nuts in it. when we went to pay they charged us for both meals, and only after i said no were not paying for that did he take it off the bill. the chef then approached us and did apologise but it seemed as though he was just trying to defend himself, saying theres no nuts rather than showing hes sorry. my partner wouldnt just have an allergic reaction for no reason so obviously there was nuts used accidentally, or some cross contamination. it does happen on occasion but the lack of accountability on their behalf was...

I got bad case of food poisoning from eating the chicken Samosa here. It was the only thing my wife didn't eat, that I ate for dinner- she was fine. Also, for breakfast and lunch that day we ate at the hotel and with a tour group - everyone else was fine. I am 100% sure that the food poisoning is from the Chicken samosa as I started to feel like throwing immediately after leaving the restaurant.

I actually raised the Samosa taste issue with the chef as the samosa tasted very weird and I couldn't taste the chicken, even though there was definitely chicken inside the Samosa. It seems like the chicken was infact raw and what caused my food poisoning.

Don't recommend anyone go here unless they also want food poisoning.

EDIT: when I say serious food poisoning, I mean throwing up all night (which started right after leaving the restaurant) and diarrhea for days. I couldn't even drink a drop of water without throwing up immediately. I never had something like this my entire life and I have had food from all sorts of...

A pleasant surprise. The only Indian restaurant in Phong Nha. I spent time speaking with chef and also the owner. A very experienced Indian, Indian chef showed me his kitchen, with pride. Running a clean kitchen with a real wood fire tandoori oven and sending delicious meals. I enjoyed a variety of different dishes here. Chicken Yikka Masala and a real hot Chicken Vindaloo. I asked for chef to make me a Vindaloo, as though i was, an Indian! He did not disappoint.! Chef Sufi, has 30 years experience. Yes, the Garlic Nan, looks like a small surf board, cooked in wood fire Tandoori oven . The menu is a small bible of 140 dishes, so ask for your favorite Indian dish and Chef will send it. - The Chicken fillet Banjara wood fired oven dish, is, world class. Hindi restaurant, Chicken, Australian Lamb, Fish or many Vegetarian options. Real good fresh Indian food in a small mountain town, nice...

Restaurants like this represents the culture of India to the world. when I heard about this chain before coming to Vietnam, I was pretty happy that at least I’ll get the Indian taste at a few places and it happened the same way but i was very disappointed to see how they have designed the whole space. The menu card, which has been touched by dirty hands has Om sign on it, Not just this but even on the cutlery they have curved Om sign and with the same spoon and fork everybody eats even the non-veg food. I’ve never seen such disrespect of the culture. if it was done by a foreigner, then we could have explained them, but when it is done in an Indian place, then it is very disappointing. When I noticed and asked them, they change the cutlery, and the food was good. That’s why one-star. 🙏🏻

We had the vegetable korma, vegetable jalfrezi, aloo gobi, and plain naan. The aloo only tasted of butter and the korma was terrible. Flavorless and mushy. It felt like eating heated leftovets. The naan was ok and the jalfrezi was tasty, but tasted nothing like a jalfrezi curry. The bread portions are big, but the curry portions are small and way more expensive than other restaurants in the area. The waiters were nice and attentive, but they bring out some sauces you didn't order and charge you for it. I see that this place has pretty good reviews, but it's clear they come from people who are not used to having Indian food. If they were, they would know this is wildly below par. The only reason we ate here was that it was late and most other restaurants were closed, btw.

We were drawn by the good reviews, but our experience was just ok. They have like 130 different dishes on the Menu, which says a lot. My dish "vegetable paneer tandoori platter" cost 185k and was absolutely not worth it. It had lots of cheap raw cabbage, one piece of tomato, 2 pieces of aubergine, some raw bellpepper, 4 pieces of paneer and mostly onion. I had the impression the service didn't really know what was in this dish as he read the description in detail after my order. Apart from that the service was good and attentive. The garlic naan is big but nothing special and the butter masala paneer was good. Good fresh fruit juices. We both wouldn't go there again as we felt that the price was too high (we ended up paying almost 500k) for the quality & quantity provided.
