Summary review: I only recommend this place as a last resort (if looking for affordable accomodation or if you can't find any other place and are stuck)

Lothian House is a government run facility boasting of several rooms in a good location (close proximity to Mukuba Mall). The facility is quite old and dilapidated, lacks basic maintenance. I was greeted by dirty bed covers that were explained away as 'permanent' stains. The bathrooms are fairly dilapidated too and would definitely cause an average person (non-clean freak) to cringe. It's a very good place. You tend to live life to the fullest. I call upon those who are disappointed or have been in negative minds to visit the place. I have never been at a place like Lothian house. It's very big and cool. There is no noise here. I found life easy when I first visited this place. For students close to CBU. You can stay here. Its cool and very close to Mukuba Mall. It's also close to the Barrack and there is a clinic. Thus, you are protected. Come see for yourself if you are trying to find...

My observations maybe be somewhat dated ! I was a guest there 40 years ago on two occasions over - in 1978 and again in 1979. At that time the place was capably run under what must have been difficult circumstance, by Mrs. Evans. I suppose she has passed on by now.
