This place is cheaper than those places backpackers usually go to, considering the privacy and the space you can get for the same price. We stayed in a room with double size bed with its own toilet and bath. There's television (with cable channels) and a study desk as well. Location is good, there is a nearby restaurant which sells local food, atm machine (Barclay) and near to the bus stop. There's a free continental breakfast (limited to bread, jam, peanut butter, porridge, Ricoffy coffee, milk and cereals) Per day it costed us 300 kwacha or 30 dollars but we were told it can get cheaper for a monthlong stay. ||||But here are the cons...There are little cockroaches all over the place, in the toilet sink, drawers, on the floor. Also, the shower was not maintained very well. You'll have to step into the elevated bath tub to take a shower, and it can be slippery you'd have to keep your balance. There's no free wi-fi which you can usually get from other traveller's lodge.||||Over-all, it is good enough if you are after privacy, budget and you can...

The rooms me and my friends had both didn't have hot water, had faulty taps, showers weren't working (in the other room you have to bath with a BUCKET 🤦🏾♂️), TVs weren't working (probably because they are very old), had no fridges or Tea/Coffee making facilities, no towels, no air-conditioning or fans and the beds are very firm, dare I say hard (should definitely be checked before making your payment if you put a high premium on a good night's sleep). The service was decent, though not all the staff were friendly, professional or helpful. Best part about the lodge for me is it's location as you have lots of amenities only a walkable distance away, even food vendors that...
Read moreI stayed here periodically while conducting research in Zambia. It is primarily frequented by Local business travelers. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and some were quite spacious, though the quality varied greatly. If you stay here, be sure the hot water and shower heads are working, as I regularly had problems with those. Otherwise, this place met my needs, and I greatly appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast is basic, but you have the option to pay more have have eggs. You can also request a room with a fridge if the hotel is not too busy. The rates are affordable, and there is a small market and restaurant...
