TWAPANDULA — Restaurant in Lusaka Province

I have visited the place numerous time, that u decided to rate them a 3 (honestly, I could've given them a 2🤭). Firstly, the customer service, especially the lady who sits by the counter who has no time to smile at clients. In the service industry, the food industry is as close as one gets to a hospital/clinic, so we least expect to find someone who is frowning. The ladies by the cheffing counter are not any better, they have this 'Get your food and get moving on' attitude all the time. Coming to the food🥱...its ALWAYS cold. Who wants to eat cold relish?! Time and again, I've asked that my food be warm in a microwave or something.

Generally, the place has staff who are either demotivated or have never undergone customer service training.

Best and, IMHO, nicest local meal in town. There arent that many tried amd true fully Zambian meals in Lusaka with sit down service and traditional foods only (at least that you can take most expats without more of a sense of adventure to), but Twapandula is consistently a great meal, an excellent price, and very high quality. Beef gravy is divine, goat is great too. Chiwabwa is excellent, okra is nice and slimy, and you choose breakfast or roller meal. There is a good bit of parking, but it certainly...

The place is set in a calm and quite area, among trees, in a compound. It has an easy feel about it. You can park your car inside. There are local style huts under trees where its perfect for a winter afternoon lunch or a breezy summer evening. The veggies and fish are fresh and natural tasting. All options are available: goat meat, beef, fish, chicken, ox liver, trotters and a good choice of veggies...
