On Friday, I swung by the new rebel store in Rundle mall, as I was looking for Nike Airmax 97. The retail staff (Marco, curly haired guy guess in his 20s as he told me he is still studying in the University) manning the mens shoe section was super frinedly and offered to help me after noticing. He took the time to find out what I actually needed and what my prferences were, and then he offered me his honest opinion. I am a chemical engineer with specialization in rubber, and have also worked before for Nike. So, I know what kind of rubber or polymers Nike uses for their different shoes and this retail staff Marco exceeded my expectations when he explained me what would be the best choice for me which actually surprised me. He gave me the honest opinion about some other shoes even though he knew that Rebel sport never stocks Airmax 97. Normally, I have experienced that retail staff try to allure you to buy something without giving honest reviews about their product. But, Marco does understand what customer service actually mean. Even though I couldn't find airmax 97, I will still shop all my future sports clothing and shoes at rebel sport as I love shoes. I never take out time to review about someone, but today I did as I feel Marco deserves 10/10 on his product knowledge, his honesty, his customer service. Even my partner was so much happy with his service. We want such people like Marco in every business organizations. He didn't sell me any product that day because he honestly gave his opinion about what could be the best shoe for my work (which rebel never stocks), but that day he actually won an ongoing regular customer of rebel. Thank you Rebel for hiring such honest and amazing...
Read moreI would like to thank a young lady who works in this store for her kindness and compassion. My wife and I were having breakfast in McDonalds Rundle Mall today, when I was talking to a homeless lady who was in Maccas. I asked if she would like to breakfast, she said, know asked if I knew where she could buy a beanie. She advised me that the nights have been getting cold. I decided to assist her in obtaining the beanie. I went into Rebel Rundle Mall and spoke with a young blonde lady, (I'm very sorry, that I didn't get your name). This person went out of her way to find me a beanie. I gave the beanie to the homeless lady and she was very grateful to Rebel. So thank you, for the kindness and willingness to help. The people I spoke to this morning were a credit to your store, these gestures to people down on their luck have a greater impact...
Read moreI came by late today after work to buy a Nike cap as I’d left mine at home in Melbourne. It was about 5-10 mins before closing time. There were no staff on the floor, and about five staff behind the counter, but only one serving customers in line.
The girl who (finally) served me was friendly, but advised me that because they’d technically “closed” she wasn’t able to sell me the item I’d driven into the CBD to purchase, despite having waited in the queue for ~5 mins. I was effectively ignored by the other four staff members behind the counter and thus this made for a terrible customer experience overall.
Up your game, Rebel Sport. This was a profoundly poor customer experience, and I’m not inclined to shop at any of your stores in future if this is what your F2F customer...
