Delicious Indian fare. Enjoyed the Punjabi lamb tandori dish, moist cutlet twins x2 - delicious and not too fatty. Followed by their chicken tindaloo. The staff mentioned that this dish is extremely hot. The first mouthful is subtle but the heat grows with each additional bite. Looks like they use chicken thigh not fillet. It's pretty awesome that they can create a flavorful dish with a medium/slow chilli burn. Came off valiantly. Glowing mouth at the end eases off in 20mins though 😁 The nan and raita both very good. The rice and pickles only okay nothing to write home about. I also got the orange cake to take away that I have still not tried yet. Would highly recommend, price is not cheap but value for money. Staff are competant and nice. Indeed curry heads will adore - Jasmine Ahoy!!!!

A popular venue with a good atmosphere. It's a pretty typical Indian restaurant, however is more expensive than others I've been to of the same calibre. The naans were not good. Curries tried were ok but nothing to rave about, were quite expensive and weren't visually appealing. The size of the Tandoori fish was quite small for the price. Dessert menu is very limited with only one Indian dessert option (the other 3 didn't seem to be Indian desserts). I would summarise it as overpriced, average Indian food. The interior and presentation was average and that with the taste of the food doesn't justify the high price of dishes. They had some creative items, such as blue cheese naan. This wasn't to my liking.

We visited Jasmine for dinner which is a lovely little spot, intimate and dimly lit with an impressive atmosphere. Indian as a cuisine generally seems to offer fine dining as a rarity or incredibly casual venues with nowhere in between but this straddles the two as an excellent middle ground. We had samosas which didn’t seem particularly traditional to me and the chicken tikka which was a small serve with a kick to it. Each main comes with an individual plate of rice but naturally we had to order an ingenious blue cheese naan also. I enjoyed the eggplant dish, the lamb korma and the butter chicken. Was it my favourite ever Indian no but it was certainly tasty

Ensured dishes were gluten free (Coeliac of 20+ year's) and prepared away from any cross-contamination within their kitchen, only to become violently ill shortly after. Ruined my last night visiting with family from overseas, stayed in hotel room hugging a bucket all night long with food poisoning , only to have to race to airport very depleted the next day. Also; the service was quite terrible, at least toward the end.. rudely rushing us out after making comments at the table expecting we knew their rules without mention, removing dishes before finished without asking, and very unorganised with billing, to the point the manager kept coming to table and stormed off flustered and eye rolling. After asking if they do separate billing (as between 6 of us, we'd spent close to $500), he placed the full total bill down on table and left it with us to organise it on our own. Have never seen such a ridiculous display, and I used to be a waitress. Which reminds me, don't serve over people's heads or have a table in a corner so close to the wall that you can't serve at least three people sitting at the table without having to pass dishes down. Will never again come to this place, it was the worst Indian restaurant we've ever been to, before the glutened and/or actual food poisoning occurred to top it off, as my daughter also felt very unwell. (should have known when initial questions and concerns regarding gluten free over the phone, were brushed off carelessly with attitude, like it's just a request and not a serious allergy).

Update: as to the unprofessional condescending response below. You must have informed the one person who made the booking over the phone, of which did not inform (nor did any of you) anyone else at the table of such a time limit.. We unfortunately had no clue whatsoever, and it was our first time visiting the place meeting family hadn't seen in over 20years. We surely wouldn't have been disrespectful, had we actually known about it! After you brushing off any acknowledgment of causing such illness, so rudely, you're just lucky I didn't keep any or have the dozen buckets of vomit throughout the night analysed for food poisoning, or you'd be closed down!! (hotel reception and close family as witnesses). I'll be reporting you to the health inspectors.. (we also found out at a later time, by an old staff member of yours, who mentioned your dog was kept back in the kitchen area. If that's true, you're a disgrace to the restaurant industry.). One more rude reply (especially the disgusting communication pre over the phone) ... and it will...

We were all really looking forward to dinner, as we have been to Jasmin numerous times before (but not for a few years) and have previously been served excellent food with terrific, mouth-watering flavour and numerous high quality dishes.

The spicy mushroom entree and naan were excellent and the pakoras were good. However we were all underwhelmed by most of the shared mains. Most dishes seemed very overcooked with soggy vegetables (the seasonal vegetable curry) and were plain and lacking flavour. The palak paneer was watery, flavourless and under-seasoned. It tasted as though it had been watered down and the paneer had an unusual texture (as though it had been frozen). I cannot believe that the chef tasted it before sending it out. There were unpleasant bitter flavours in the the eggplant curry. The highlight main was the special okra curry, which was fresh, spicy and tasty (more what we would expect from Jasmin).

The table service was as usual of high standard and the atmosphere lovely and cosy but our dinner was severely let down by poor quality food, which we were not at all expecting from Jasmin - we were genuinely surprised and perplexed. There has been some major lapse in quality control in the kitchen. I hope this will be rectified, but for us it was an overpriced below average meal (at over $80/head). When my friend shared with the waiter that we felt the food was below average he thanked her for her feedback and said we should have mentioned it earlier. He did come over and offer some additional drinks (which I think were to be complimentary) but we declined as we were about to leave and a couple of us were driving. After our meal last night I can no longer...

Small space, takes longer time for food to arrive, Not the best food - had better than this, mostly courteous wait staff, make sure you reconfirm your order (a must).

We went with the hype of google reviews. Felt like it was a busy night, because it took almost 15 mins for the wait staff to come and attend us with some water.

Finally after waiting for long, our order was taken and we ordered 3 curries for 3 adults. Few Roti, Parathas and Naan. Entree was comparatively quick to arrive. We waited for almost an hour for the mains. Pretty frustrating tbh. Meanwhile we were told Rotis are finished, so we had to go for Parathas. Chef gave us a small complimentary Butter Chicken curry. Kudos to them.

After having the food, we felt we wanted to order more portion as we felt portion sizes were small. So when we asked waiter to order another portion, he brusquely said its because you ordered small sizes. We never ordered small portions, it was his mistake in the first place which he cunningly diverted to be our mistake. When we ordered for second time his approach was quite belittling, seems like he was not ready to do business with us second time, sad!!! Not ideal when you're paying high dollar for the food and services. Hence one star.

So make sure you specifically state your size of curry and reconfirm with them when you order.

Edit after the Owner's response :

Over 40 years of experience in hospitality and calling themselves town's best. Yet failed to receive criticism in a graceful manner....
