Bonnie D'Arcy recently represented us as the sales agent for a property we were selling in Ashgrove. It is not often that we leave a review on any product or service we encounter, however the service we received from Bonnie D'Arcy as the sales agent, Peter D'Arcy the Principal of the Agency, and Auctioneer on the day and Bob See in Sales Administration was outstanding. From the moment we talked to Bonnie about selling the property we felt confident that we were in good hands. Bonnie's communication and service always went above a beyond. Her delightful, happy and always positive nature, along with her sensible no nonsense approach gave us confidence and made the whole process so easy. Bonnie always had everything in hand, from advising on the approach to the marketing, the prompt and detailed execution of paperwork, the physical preparation, and organizing the staging of the home - every box was ticked. And then throughout the campaign and in the lead up to the auction we were always kept thoroughly informed with open house results and feedback immediately after an open home or designated inspection. Prior to auction day we had a great meeting with Peter and Bonnie. Peter walked us through the format of the auction and addressed possible scenarios so we could be prepared. His auction skills are outstanding, and we could not have been happier with the way Peter conducted the process during the auction, to bring home an excellent result on the day. From beginning to end Bob See in sales admin, promptly and efficiently dotted the i's and crossed the t's as far the pre and post paperwork was concerned. For us it was an altogether excellent experience with an industry that is often maligned. If you are considering trusting the Sale of your property to D'Arcy's Real Estate, we would not hesitate to recommend them. Barbara Greer and...
Read moreI arranged an inspection for a property on Friday with Bonnie. She ended the phone call with 'I'll see at 2PM on Friday'. We turned up on time to wait 15 minutes. I gave Maddie a quick call in the office as I thought she might have just been running late. She couldn't get ahold of Bonnie and wasn't aware of the inspection. I was very polite and said we will leave it for today as I had to get back to work in the city. I received a call today from Bonnie who I thought was going to give me a polite apology and organise a reschedule. Instead the said that it my fault as she believes she didn't confirm on the phone and said I need to call her back to confirm (Which is completely untrue and doesn't make sense logistically as she had already confirmed 2PM?!). After she said this and was quite aggressive on the phone, my partner who was also listening in on the speaker phone shook his head to signal to me that he didn't feel comfortable going ahead. I said to Bonnie that we will leave it for now which is when she got very aggressive and said listen here and proceeded to attack me for declining another inspection. I said I'm finding this conversation very uncomfortable and aggressive so I will leave it there, thanked her for her time and said goodbye. My partner and I were actually going to discuss having them inspecting our investment property for property management but after this awful experience I will e avoiding them at all costs. To the owner of the bardon property, I am very sorry but you just lost a sale based on the awful sales agent you chose to engage. Will be avoiding Darcy property at all costs in the future. Kind...
Read moreSelling a house especially your old family home is very emotional and daunting. Finding an estate agent that is really concerned about your needs and not just a quick sale is not always easy. We were extremely lucky, when it was time to sell my mother's property, to have met Simon Parer from Darcy's Estate Agency Ashgrove. My mother's sale was not straight forward and was definitely complex. Not only was it administered by the Public Trustee but the property was to be sold as two properties - land and house. Simon right from the outset was professional, knowledgeable and had his finger on the pulse. He gave us realistic estimates based on his knowledge of recent sales in the area. At every step we were consulted and kept well informed. Right from the outset, he stepped us through the whole process so we were very clear what would be involved and what the costs would be .Simon handled the red tape associated with dealing with a property attached to the Public Trustee easily. You knew that Simon cared about us and worked over and above to ensure we got the best possible result. Simon listened to our concerns and made sure that he took them into consideration. Because of the trust we had in Simon, the anxiety associated with selling a house was greatly reduced. In fact the whole process from start to finish ran extremely smoothly and the property was sold in a short time for a good price. Would we recommend Simon Parer from Darcy's Estate Agency - most definitely. In our opinion there is none better. You cannot go wrong if you have Simon as your...
