After having spent $1000's over the last several years shopping at Flannerys stores throughout QLD, I attempted to return a protein powder product 1 day after I had purchased it because it contained cacao which adversely affected my sleep. The product has a high amount of cacao which is a known stimulant - (just google it). I was simply wanting to exchange the product and its the first time I have ever returned a product to that store other than mouldy bread they sold me. The woman that served me spoke to the store manager who said that there is no stimulant in the ingredients and because it had been opened could not be returned or exchanged. What an appalling, disgraceful way to treat a long time customer. It was at that moment I realised this business was all about profit and could not care less about the very customers who keep them in business. Needless to say Flannerys will not get another $1 from me. What I took away from this was an excellent example of how NOT to...
Read moreI love it simply because Brisbane is very sadly lacking in organic/healthy/vegan/ GF products and produce. Flannery's doesn't have many competitors, do they? They have a good selection of breads, and dips, and bulk flours, cereals etc. But let's face it, most of the non-perishables or longer shelf items (especially cosmetic, beauty, personal, or cleaning) are outrageously expensive, the mark up is too much. BUT they have kept some of the fresh produce affordable, and that is the main reason I go back there (thanks for at least keeping THAT somewhat affordable!), and for the breads and dip. I can only do Flannery's once ever few weeks, otherwise I would go broke. One of the older nutritionists there (I won't name her but starts with "M") is very snotty. If she serves you, she doesn't talk to you, is not friendly and u can tell she looks down her...
Read moreThe Chermside Flannerys store is sorely let down by 1 staff member being their strongly close-minded nautropath who doesn't give alternatives to products or supplements sought but also seems to have limited knowledge in natropathy also. Also she wont serve you at the front counter & just ignores your presence! Talk about bad customer service leaving a customer ready to pay at the counter. However the other are great. Some times they are out of stock of items I regularly buy which is a shame. I have enjoyed visiting Flannerys in other locations in Brisbane, however will likely be looking elsewhere & should I find a better option will move my regular organic &...
