Korean Chicken & (Chermside) — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Actually super disappointed in my experience here. We ordered as a family on Thursday the 26th Oct 23 and received what was possibly the nicest meal I've ever eaten.

Ordered again on the 27th Oct 23 and received possibly the worst food I've ever had the displeasure of putting in my mouth.

If the owner sees this comment, they should compare the chef staff on each of these days and fire the person making the food on the 27th.

Let me explain.

On the 26th we ordered a full boneless chicken, a burger and a half chicken.

It was perfectly cooked. Chicken supple, perfect sizes of boneless meat and absolutely no gristle/cartilage that ends up being battered and sold by soulful chicken (a competitor down the road). We left a note saying it was the first time eaters so we could get a little bit of extra care in the preparation of the food.

It was so good in fact we ordered it again the next day. This time three burgers, one with no cheese.

What we received was slop. We didn't finish the meal. I wish I had taken photos of the first and second meals to show you the difference. On the 27th the buns were burnt. The burger toppings were 1/5th of what was included in the meal the prior day, the chicken tasted like a different animal and was not tender. There was 3 times as much sauce on the second day as well. I was basically biting into a mouthful of burnt mayonnaise and poorly cooked chicken patty.

I don't know how it's possible to get such different results. The food gave us upset stomachs for almost 24 hours afterwards.

Both times the counter staff were very friendly but the quality of food on day 1 was amazing. We'd order there weekly. On day 2 the quality of the food was so bad that I have no doubt you'll go out of business if you serve other...

Every few months my wife and I are on the hunt for something new to have for a takeaway meal than our usual rotation of takeaway on a weekend evening.

We both adore korean fried chicken and we stumbled on this store after a recommendation online for the Gabba store. We live on the northside so getting to the Gabba is not ideal. Needless to say when we noticed there was a store not far from us, we hopped in the car...

Boy are we glad we did, the food here is easily the best Korean fried chicken we've eaten in the Brisbane area, and we've eaten a lot of it at other places.

The boneless chicken was juicy, no sign of unwanted fat or cartiledge/gristle, just beautiful pieces of chicken, coated and fried perfectly, with the perfect amount of sauces.

The sweet chilli was spot on and the honey butter garlic was not over the top with the honey or the garlic, it was very well balanced.

The cheese balls make an amazing side dish, you might even consider them a bit of a savoury dessert of sorts as they are slightly sweet as well.

I'm not sure if it's a standard thing at this store, but I was also given a free side of pickled radish, which did a nice job of cleansing the palate once we finally managed to stop ourselves from over indulging in our food (there was a lot! very large servings... excellent value).

We will be back, as your store has gained a place in our regular takeaway night rotation!

I'm a regular customer at this restaurant, and I stopped by again today. Unfortunately, I encountered an issue with the Qonus app, which made me think there was a payment glitch. As a result, I accidentally placed two orders. Despite the inconvenience, the staff was incredibly helpful in assisting me with obtaining a refund and promptly resolving the issue. The employee who helped me was friendly, approachable, and maintained a high level of professionalism throughout our interaction. Regrettably, I didn't catch her name, but she was a girl who served me at the counter (please convey my appreciation to her if possible, she did an excellent job! ☺️). This Korean chicken spot is my favorite; the chicken is consistently delicious and never soggy, always served fresh. I highly recommend it and truly cherish this place.
