This is a small takeaway with limited bar/counter style seating. We visited on a Saturday lunch and grabbed one of the outside "tables" and order: * 2 barra pack, $18.50 - 2 barramundi, 6 calamari rings, small chips * snapper, $8.50 * coleslaw (regular), $5.90 All fish comes crumbed by default, and battered or grilled upon request (grilled is 50c extra). We got one of the barra battered and the remaining fish crumbed. Both options were good but I think the crumbed edges out the battered as being very good (nice crunchiness) vs ok good (decent but I've had better). The fish pieces were all cooked well and made for good eating. The rest of the food was all done pretty well too - calamari nice and tender, chips fairly yellow looking but moreish once you start eating, and the coleslaw provided a semblance of health to complement all the fried stuff. Didn't even miss having some tartare sauce (available at extra cost) all that much. Basically I feel like I've found my new local go-to spot for fish and chips 👍 There are burgers on the menu too, priced like it's the last century! I've heard they're pretty decent so will be back to try them later.

I picked up an order 10mins before they closed - so the death stares from the owners were totally justified and I am so sorry for that! The chicken burgers were awful, miserable, super dry and didn't look inviting at all (see attached pic). The "salad" in the burgers was nothing but the remnants of cabbage shreds that are left on the chopping board and zero sauces. I had to add my own sauces at home to make it a bit more moist. The chips, although abundant and hot, had soaked up so much oil that after few chips we vere feeling gross, soggy in the outside and didn't taste like chips. Seasoning was also poor. Heaps of room for improvements. I don't really mind paying more for better quality and we are keep getting disappointed from cheap/average fish & chips shops away from the cbd.

Decided to have Fish and Chips - the family had food from here before. We had three Cod with chips, and that comes with salad. Nicely packed on a platter and the crumbed fish very tasty. There is nothing to complain about the food. Greeting the customer or a friendly smile is absent. Rather very rude - would not go back. Just saying, "I be with you in a minute - please or thank you," would be appropriate. There are no excuses for that - regardless of how busy you are or the owner of the place. Taking the orders - doing the cooking - and letting other customers stand around until you ready to take the next order - get another staff! A course of customer service might be a good idea. Also, the parking is a nightmare.

I had a meal here while waiting for the Karawatha concert at RSHS, I'm not really familiar with the area but my daugter recommended this place. I'm glad she did. I ordered a 'double bacon burger' combo meal and added an egg for $1.

What I got was a nice boxed meal containing a reasonable serve of chips and a massive wrapped burger. The chips were fresh and hot, not soggy with oil, not overly salted either but the burger was the main event, it was huge, even larger than a whopper or quarter pounder, filled with salad on a nicely toasted bun with a balanced amount of BBQ sauce. Every bite from first to last was a joy, it didn't get soggy and start to fall apart like big chain burgers tend to do. For only around $10 (drink included) this meal was enough to sate my hunger.

The only negative is that it took a long time from ordering to getting the meal, to be fair though they were quite busy, but they didn't seem to be moving with any sense of urgency.

Next time I'm in the area I will...
