Shocking service. My husband and I ordered over the phone before arrival just to make sure that they have what we want to have for breakfast. We were give an order number over the phone.
Upon arrival, we spoke with the gentleman at the counter and repeated our order number. The gentleman confirmed that our order was in their system. However, none of the items were available except for the Chinese donuts and soy milk that we ordered. We were unhappy then, but the lady assured us there are other similar breakfast items that are available. Despite that we were disappointed with that telephone ordering system, my husband and I settled and ordered other items that the lady said were available at the time.
We paid our bill and patiently waited at our table for about half an hour and nothing was served (despite everything being pre-cooked). We were given the table number 8. My husband noticed that table number 10 was already been served. We then approached the counter to check on our order. We were then told that the Chinese donuts were no longer available. Whilst we approached the counter, another lady customer also approached the counter. I overheard her complaining in Mandarin "I waited from breakfast time to lunch time. The service is beyond poor". She then demanded a refund. We then demanded a refund as well. No apologies for the chaotic situation was ever given by the female owner to either us or the other customer. Easily the most chaotic restaurant I have...
Read morePleasant set up, staff was helpful if only she can speak more English. Also, the menu doesn’t speak much, to a new customer unfamiliar with its origin. Almost every dish we ordered is a surprise, laced with chilli and pepper too.All the dishes tasted good, although towards the end, our tongues tend to get very numb from the peppery heat. The signature chicken dish was good. It came with some noodles and you can pay for more noodles. The dish also came with potatoes, almost like a chicken/potato stew with noodles. Little yellow fish dish flavour is ok but if you are not keen on fiddling with small bones, I won’t recommend it. Not many choices with drinks but the herbal tea in a can is good. $20/pax dinner for 4 is good variety. Revisited, trying the lamb hot pot. Comes with 4 options of different side dishes eg potatoes, sea week, tofu, book Choy etc..all raw, to be added into the pot on a portable stove. Generous quantity of spicy soup and lamb meat on bones. Be prepared to use your fingers. Best eaten...
Read moreWent for breakfast at 10am today and did not get our food till around 11am. Once we ordered we were told by the teen who was holding the receipt that the scallion pancake was out of stock, as well as the century egg congee. We asked to replace it with some sort of sweet soy pudding or milk and later on was told this was also out of stock.
When it hit 10:40am we followed up for our food as the 3 kids were getting tired and hungry, to our surprise they had LOST out receipt for them to get us our order. Guessing that the teen had forgotten to give it back to front of house ‘team.’
Food started flowing out and all of a sudden the sweet soy we were told they ran out of was placed onto our table 🙄
Food was very average and staff not very helpful or sincere towards...
