Cairns Bulk Meats — Local services in Earlville

Meat was good quality but my rating is unfortunately brought down due to the rude female staff member who took my order. My toddler ran towards the exit door so I had to grab him and when I came back she’d thrown her arms in the air at me to gesture why I had left the bench I was getting service at, and threw my meat off to the side where the paper wrapping is for me to collect. Less than pleasant experience.

Hi Eden, I’m not sure how to reply to your response so I’m just adding to this. Yes definitely the correct butcher by the bakery? It was last Tuesday the 11th. I wasn’t asked for a name, I just walked in through the front door to order at the bench, I received lamb cutlets which were very nice as always. The meat didn’t get wrapped as you previously stated but I did note that when she tossed it off to the side there was a large stack of the typical papers that meat would get wrapped with. She was a blonde woman maybe in her 30s? It’s just ashame because this is our favourite butcher in the area but the experience has unfortunately...

My 8 yr old daughter visited this butcher today with her older sister. She was in tears when she got home. Apparently the lady who served her was rude and embarrassed her in front of other customers. I went back to the store and talked with the lady she was very apologetic and said she had no idea she had upset her. We were happy with that. Next thing the OWNER (who refused to tell me her name) yelled across to us that she wouldn't hire anyone that was rude. Her voice got louder and louder as she said she had a very busy business to run and we all have kids too,all whilst serving her customer ! I am absolutely appalled in her aggressive attitude,and her highly UNPROFFESIONAL mannerisms!! I do NOT recommend...

Bulk meats yer right bulk rip offs more like it and when you ring to inquire about the quality of there product he tell you to get off and don’t come back , but we did and again we got ripped , T-bone 4 to a pack but 3 had eye piece missing and were displayed to hide these under one one good piece but when I implied that it was deliberate he lost the plot ( which means I hit the nail on the head ) . So we went back this week and again their hiding badly cut meat under one good piece . Not to mention the other cut of meat we purchase was full of Grisel and very chewy , Again when I rang to inquire about this was abused but the male gentleman once again ,, such bad meat goes with the service you get here...
