Nice enough staff (though somewhat condescending), but they need to provide better service to those new to cpap. Did a trial. 1. She set it all up and didn't show me how to actually use the machine (I had to ask). 2. Told me not to touch the straps on the mask - I did need to readjust them roughly weekly but didn't realise until 2 wasted nights with it not working and couldn't figure out why it wasn't fitting properly all of a sudden. 3. Refused to give me a nose mask BC she determined that I am a mouth breather (spoiler alert - I'm not). I came in to see if I could trial another mask when I had a week to go, and Katherine was so incredibly helpful, asked me questions and actually tailored the remainder of the trial to me specifically. Recognised I'm not a mouth breather and provided me 2 nasal masks to try. 4. Asked if I could see Katherine when I brought it back as she's the only one that has actually had a conversation with me not just given me minimal information and left me not knowing what questions I needed to ask, but she "doesnt work in clinic". I had to ask what that meant - apparently the shop floor is "clinic". Emmie was nice but really I think is better dealing with return customers who know what they want/need. Honestly I left with more questions than I came in with. For this amount of money I want to know I'm involved in the decision and making the right choice FOR ME, not having her decide what I need if I have options. Also they need hicaps. My health insurance will cover a lot of the cost, but annoyingly I have to just find something like $1500 lying around first then claim back. Honestly I think they're used to a generation of people who will take medical advice at face value and just take what is recommended. Put together a new customer package, an 'orientation to cpap', including what questions customers need to consider, and things to consider. With...
Read moreThe CPAP team at Ballarat (Catherine, then Simon) were both extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and always professional. I have an issue with both of my lower lung lobes not fully working due to my spinal accident over 40 years ago and now I am having breathing difficulties. I arrived at their Ballarat office unannounced searching for answers to my unique situation. They went above and beyond to help you in any way they can. I highly recommend this fantastic team if you need clarity on possible solutions regarding sleep or breathing difficulties, especially during the night. My wife said I snored loudly during the night with sporadic deep coughing. I found out from the minimal report that I have sleep apnoea after trialling a CPAP machine for two weeks (now purchased). I have now registered for an in-depth home sleep study. There is no doubt upon receiving these results a Respiratory Specialist will be sought if required. Thank you again for your invaluable advice and customer service regarding ways of reducing fatigue and therefore gaining a healthier...
