Went with my family for my aunties birthday, they had travelled from Camperdown, Melbourne and Bendigo, I booked for 9 people and a high chair as I myself live here and had chose to come to blue bell for the lunchen. Upon getting there we were greeted by a very blunt Tracy. Who pointed to our table down the back and said "if you want a highchair they are against the wall get it yourself". I than asked Tracy if we were aloud to bring cake in for my aunties birthday to be told that yes we could but they would have nothing to do with it and wouldnt light the candles or anything (made us so uncomfortable over it we left the cake in the car) than the finalising on the cake was once again Tracy who argued and some rudely to my aunty and uncle when we questioned if there was another soup coming to the table to which she argued no, than went on to say someone else ate it, and when we asked if it was on another docket because it's a different table number she threw the docket down in front of us and said that all the meals are on the one docket and we hadn't ordered it and if we wanted it it had to be paid for. My uncle than raised his voice and said to Tracy that it had been ordered and she than stormed off saying that she was getting the manager because she wasn't being spoke to like that ( mind you she did nothing but snap at us and raise her voice at us with the terrible no all attitude that I am right and you are wrong.) Thankfully the manager did sort it out ( she was fantastic btw) and it was put thru on a different number and my aunty got her soup that she paid for. But Tracy did not offer an apology, instead she continued to talk about us and give us terrible looks until we left.
My uncle even apologised for raising his voice at her which shows his more of a decent human being than me because quite frankly with that attitude she shouldn't be in hospitality!
Bonus points for food as it was 10/10 but not enough to warrant...
Read moreI'll see how they are travelling before spending my money here again. However, let's start with the positive: Food is good quality, well presented and reasonably priced. Could improve: Food was cold when it arrived. Steak and chips were the same temperature as the salad. Could improve: Drinks are overpriced compared to other venues. Could improve: Stubby of beer purchased at the bar for $7.30 tasted 'off'. Packaged beer needs to be comparatively fresh to avoid tasting like bad home brew. Could improve: Staffing levels. The unfortunate girl behind the bar was flat out dealing with telephone bookings as well as a pub full of customers trying to buy drinks. Could improve: The 3 free water jugs on the bar were all empty because the girl with the pub full of customers and the telephone bookings was plainly too busy to refill them - she only has 2 arms and 2 legs. We eat here about 6 times a year. We'll see how they are travelling before we...
Read moreBooked for 6 o'clock. We had eaten and gome again within the hour which tells a lot about the standard of food. Two of us ordered off the specials menu, a 'Queen Parma'. Sounded amazing, a chicken schnitzel with ham, cheese, asparagus and hollandaise sauce. It was terrible. $10 more than a normal parma at $36. Expected fresh asparagus, but it was tinned and must have been home brand because it was like chewing wood. The hollandaise had no flavour at all and the chicken was so overcooked and dry. A half a handful of salad and a handful of chips. Lucky i was starving or it would have been inedible. The young girl behind the bar was friendly and offerred good service but the man who came out of the kitchen and dropped our garlic bread on the table like it was an inconvenience was not so great. We will...
