Absolutely terrible, nasty and rude caretaker. Came for a nice time away with my family and parents, place was empty, and there were empty sites everywhere. During the day I didnt mind parking my car outside in the car park. However, after going for a walk over the road we noticed shady looking men loitering at the waters edge. After tea I parked my car off the main road, to keep it safe. I only did this at night. During the day I don't care.
We figured the place is empty, there were hardly any customers, so who does it bother? If it was busy, sure i understand.
Boy was I wrong.
The caretaker came, banged on our door and said rules "is" rules and demanded I take my car back out and park it on the main road. We asked if we could leave the car on the empty lot over night, one of many, but the guy said no and demanded I to move it out.
After some back and forth with the caretaker I could see he was unreasonable and arrogant, so I did as directed and move it out. My car is now on a main road in an at risk area.
If I had known before booking that parking would be an issue, I would have booked a elsewhere.
The guy said someone else had parked their car out of the park... where??? Not in the carpark I am forced to use. See photos attached.
Not happy at all.
Remove the male caretaker and its quite a nice place.
I definitely wouldn't recommend.
Post response review shows just how awful these people are. The area asked to park on was shire land not yours, hence the powerpoles. The area I did park in says visitor parking with an arrow pointing to it. The youth were definitely not fishing. We actually felt unsafe. Your name around town is herendous for the way you treat people.
Go on a holiday to have a good time to put up with this attitude and aggressiveness. If I could have rated lower...

Our time at Koonwarra Holiday Park this Easter was nothing short of tragic. We arrived with good intentions, full of warmth and politeness, only to be met with humiliation and degrading treatment from the moment we stepped in.
The experience turned from disappointing to deeply offensive when one of the staff referred to my mother as āthe dark one.ā This blatant racism left us shaken and angry. My mother, who had shown nothing but kindness, was understandably unable to stay calm after being subjected to such disrespect.
We had arrived with proper documentation explaining the necessity of our dog, who supports my young sisterās severe anxiety and acts as a companion animal. Despite this, we were called liars and accused of forging our documents. The staff dismissed our childās needs without a second thought, and we were constantly watched, harassed, and made to feel like intruders instead of guests.
Our dog, who was doing nothing but quietly staying near our family as trained, was treated like a threat. Bill repeatedly demanded we move or adjust things without even giving us a chance to comply. It felt more like a power play than actual concern.
We were not only disrespected as guests, but targeted personally and culturally. Accusations and threats were thrown at us by the management, including personal insults and incredibly inappropriate remarks about āblacklistingā and even mocking our concerns about mental health and family safety.
This was meant to be a relaxing Easter getaway, but instead we left feeling degraded, unwelcome, and violated. No family should go through what we did ā especially not children who deserve to feel safe on holiday.
Avoid this place at all costs if you value kindness, respect, and basic...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpon check in we were ātoldā by the manager that he would open the boom gate for us, walk us to our site and then āassistā with backing our van onto the site.||This was not a simple offer of assistance, this was a demand and when my husband thanked him and declined the assistance (he is quite capable of backing our van), he was called arrogant by the manager who then continued to behave like a petulant child whose mother never said NO to him.||I also to.d him several times through the check in process that I was vision impaired and would take all the paperwork and local information to my husband to read. He ignored this information and continued to point at documents I was unable to read.||Advice and assistance are always welcome but please be aware that people have the right to decline both.||Customer service not a high priority. Controlling seems to be the order of the day at this park.||And whilst I love doggos, there were quite a few poops near the garbage that had not been picked up. This did make the flies pretty bad at our van, which was near.||Other than that Lakes Entrance is a lovely little town. We would be happy to return, and stay...
