Was walking past & it looked like a very happening place with great atmosphere, so decided to have dinner. Scanned the QR code on the table to do an online order, but luckily I did not make the payment & decided to go up & order in person. The cashier said they did not know how the online orders worked. We were also informed that there was no chicken at all, so settled for the brisket loaded fries. They were tasty. The meat was tender, but it’s hardly fully loaded. We got there just after 5pm, loving the music, but alas only got to hear 2 songs, as he then started to pack up. Fair enough he started at 2pm, but that live music atmosphere is what draws people in. There should be one for the lunch time crowd & then one for the evening crowd.

We had chicken wings, beef brisket, buttermilk chicken burger, kids smash burger & a mac & cheese. All came up to 75$. Chicken wings was good. 4/5 Beef brisket was amazing 11/5 (but it is overprice. 2 for $24) but ngl i will definitely pay for it again & again. Chicken burger was good. 4/5 Kids smash burger was a very good size - i ate it as an adult & it was perfect for me. 4/5 Mac & cheese is not very cheesy - so I can see how other people don't like it. But I like it that it wasn't so cheesy. 3.5/5 What bother me was. We waiting for an hour for our order. We order around 615pm & got our food at 720pm. That was the downside but while waiting, I did enjoy the Servo beers 🍻

I recently dined at The Pit in Lakes Entrance and had a satisfying experience. The food was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the flavors and presentation of the dishes. However, I must mention that the service was a bit slow, which affected the overall experience. Despite this, the vibes at The Pit were fantastic, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend The Pit for its tasty food and great ambiance, but be prepared for potentially slower service.

We got takeaway last night (it was raining and we had dogs so would have sat in the rain otherwise) I walked back to the car and we opened the boxes. Cold meat was served and the portion of brisket was 2 finely sliced peices that would have lucky to have been 200g. Nothing nice to say about the cold brisket We do a better brisket in a travel buddy oven. the pulled pork was dryer than a nuns cnut, thankfully there was a tiny tub of sause which gave it some moisture. The pork ribs weren't nice at all, I have nothing nice to say about those. We ordered the fried chicken entree they were cold on the box. The Mayo was yummy and the flavour of the chicken was nice but obviously sat on the bench waiting for the order to be packed. We had a bite of everything and decided to head back to our caravan and heat it all up on the microwave. The kransky was stone cold and needed to be reheated. We brought a better kransky at the mobile service station. Piss poor service the guy who took our order was good, but the young chick couldn't even look up to acknowledge your existence when grabbing the food. For $100 spent, it was utterly disappointing and by far the worst smoked meat we...

THE PITS. DO NOT ORDER BY PHONE. Driving in to Lakes, you couldn’t miss this place on the corner as it was absolutely thriving and I knew I had to go there. Finally getting the chance to go, it was a massive let down. For some reason our phones which are with Optus and Vodafone struggled to load up the page which ultimately cost us a last serving of Mac and Cheese. We got a text message back saying we could change it for something else or get a refund. Upon completing our order, we had a message saying our food was going to be ready at a certain time. After waiting beyond that time we asked staff who said we would get a text message but we never did. When questioning it again, they took us to the serving counter who said the food was ready and if you order on the app it is classified as take away. The food has unfortunately been sitting behind that counter for a while and was cold. The food we got: beef brisket, pulled pork, cheese kransky and fries were all pretty average and for the price per serving it was...
