Review for Bob, the Amazing Tour Guide to Phillip Island

I recently had the pleasure of joining a tour to Phillip Island to see the penguins, and I must say, our driver and guide, Bob, made the entire experience unforgettable! From start to finish, Bob was an absolute professional and a delight to be around.

First of all, Bob is an excellent driver. The ride was smooth, comfortable, and safe, even during the late-night return trip. He navigated the roads with such ease that we all felt completely at ease, even in the dark.

But what really set Bob apart was his personality and dedication to making sure everyone had a great time. He had a fantastic sense of humor, cracking jokes and keeping the mood light throughout the journey. His energy was infectious, and he made sure everyone felt included and entertained.

Bob also went above and beyond to ensure we were all comfortable and happy. He was attentive to our needs, answered all our questions, and even shared some interesting facts about the area and the penguins. His passion for his job was evident, and it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

By the end of the tour, Bob had not only driven us safely but also managed to win over the entire group with his charm and professionalism. He truly went the extra mile to make sure we had a memorable night.

If you’re planning a trip to Phillip Island, I highly recommend asking for Bob as your guide. He’s not just a great driver—he’s a fantastic entertainer and a true asset to any tour. Thanks, Bob, for making our penguin...

I recently took the one-day tour to Phillip Island with Bunyip Tours (Go West Tours), and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we boarded the bus, the friendly and knowledgeable tour guide Jacqui made us feel welcome and excited for the day ahead.

The highlight of the tour was definitely the "Penguin Parade". Watching the adorable penguins waddle back to their nests at sunset was a truly unforgettable experience. The guide provided insightful commentary throughout the parade, enhancing our understanding and enjoyment.

We also visited the "Moonlit Sanctuary", where we had the chance to interact with koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and other native wildlife. It was a unique and memorable experience, especially for animal lovers.

Addition to that we had chances to visit and take photos at the Brighton Beach Boxes, Cape Woomalai, The Nobbies, Lava Rock which are a charming and iconic feature of Melbourne.

The bus was comfortable, and the onboard Wi-Fi was a great touch, allowing us to share our experiences in real-time. The tour was well-organised, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced between sightseeing and free time.

Overall, Bunyip Tours (Go West Tours) provided excellent value for money, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne. The combination of beautiful scenery, fascinating wildlife, and a friendly tour guide Jacqui made for a perfect day out...

We booked the Great Ocean Road Classic Day Tour and had Graeme as our guide for the day.

It was a long day with pick up just after 7am and return to accomodation about 9.30pm that evening but it did not disappoint!

Graeme was amazing and provided commentary throughout the whole journey relating to the history, wildlife and other fascinating things along the tour and the small country towns we visited. Morning tea was lovely and refreshing. During the day we saw koalas, kangaroos, native birds and echidnas in their natural habitat which was amazing and Graeme took the time to make unplanned stops so the guests could enjoy their beauty and watch these animals in the wild on numerous occasions.

The tour was not rushed, there were plenty of rest, toilet and meal breaks along the way and there was always lots to do and see.

The Twelve Apostles were of course one of the highlights of the tour but there is also many lovely sights and towns we travelled through or stopped at to grab a meal which was great. The walk through the forest was at a nice pace and Graeme provided lots of commentary again and is a wealth of knowledge.

Highly recommended and so glad we did it. Graeme as our guide did an amazing job and made the day even more fun! The four of us booked on this tour, costing $135 each for a 14+ hour day so it was very much value...

My husband & I did the Phillip Island Penguin Parade Ultimate Eco Tour with Damo. Damo’s cheerful personality and commentary made our tour top of the line. The Brighton Beach Bath Boxes were a perfect first photo op. Then, we enjoyed watching a presentation at the Moonlit Sanctuary. The stop was long enough to walk around and enjoy a snack after. The views on Phillip Island were stunning and we saw a variety of wildlife, including echidnas, wallabies, and geese. We enjoyed some free time for dinner in town and feasted on pizza and gelato. The main event, the penguin parade, was unforgettable. We were lucky to see some penguins before it was dark and were able to snap pictures of them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND UPGRADING TO PENGUIN PLUS (the stands, not the underground viewing). The section we were in was much less crowded and offered a variety of views of the penguins. We were also able to ask more questions to the guides. We spent about 20 minutes watching the penguins emerge from the ocean in the stands and 30 minutes watching them waddle to their burrows on the boardwalk. Overall, this tour was well paced and will be a highlight from my time in Melbourne!
