Happy new year! I really appreciate the relaxing atmosphere, clean and icy water, beautiful bay views, soft sand and the chilly cold winds from the sea here under the hot sun on New Year’s Day, a summer day in Australia. Swimming, sunbathing, jogging, beach volleyball, surfing and walking your dogs along the trail are all enjoyable. The parking space was almost full on that red-letter day. You better look after your dogs and keep them on leash if they...

I love this beach, my kids love it and the cafe that's there makes an amazing chai latte and vegie burger!

There is also quite a bit of shallow water for young kids to play in, I find the sand to be a little dirty but so much better then some other places.

Was there for good Friday and it wasn't overly packed either, usually when I go during the week it's nice...

The Edithvale Beach area is typical for the beaches between Mordialloc to Carrum = long, shallow close to the shore (good for kids), but not much shade. Edithvale has 4 major advantages - a beachside Cafe-Kiosk (called Sand Dunes), Toilets, a grassy Park (Beeson Reserve) which is behind the Kiosk and a nearby shopping strip on Nepean Highway with a range...

beautifull beach clean and been there over years if you want have swim have a rest or anything this is beautifull dueing summer since 2003 many times either friends or alone was good i loved many good days wish i lived on beach side,seen few small and big fish swiming in shallow water while i was inside of water
