Super yummy food! Just discovered Yum Cha is a whole new experience (no trolleys these days) and wasn’t let down. The food was freshly prepared and divine. I ordered 3 items, Peking Duck Pancakes (2 pieces), Prawn & Pork Fried Dumplings (3 pieces) & Mushroom Pancakes (2 pieces), accompanied by a herbal tea, not something I’d normally order but it was perfect. Just so yummy, I wanted to order more but was so entirely satisfied, sadly didn’t need too! The best $30 spent. This is a firm favourite for my hit list of ‘must have’ food venues. We all wanted dumplings, surprised to see the menu offered 3 or 4 pieces for average $11, when I asked if larger portions were an option, the waiter rudely replied “we are not a food court”. We could see him blowing his nose in the window’s reflection without washing his hands, much like a food court! Saw the high reviews so was keen to eat here after being at the beach all day. The food was a big disappointment. We ordered a variety of things from the menu. Firstly the wontons were okay but dripping in oil. The golden beef was nice but the lettuce (not salad) served on the side is soggy and pointless. The other beef dish lacked flavour.
